FusionIO is a cool, cool, COOL product BUT I dont see enterprises adopting it.
From a consumer point of view, I'd have one please...... if it didnt cost me a few limbs...
Re: Interesting that this gets posted during NetApp's fiscal year end
Dimitri - That graph does make me laugh... if you combined EMC's storage products together it would be way above NetApp.
I like NetApp dont get me wrong but it will be interesting to see how long the one box for all approach lasts.
Re: Okay, I'll bite, Chris
Dear AC from Dell,
Ex VNX customer? that's pretty short term then as VNX hasn't even been on market for 2 years yet.
Re: The market doesn't want unified storage? Really?
Lets see what turns out best, storage that presents itself as a jack of all trades or purpose built storage for specific application and workload needs :-)
I mean, NetApp started off as a filer for a reason right?
Did nobody else lol at the chart hp put together?
Yup, replacing them with new ones.
Re: Praise tapes
Clueless CIOS buy disk backup? what a bold statement.
So many inaccuracies in your post I've got my hand over my face like the Captain of the Star Trek Enterprise.
This gave me a good laugh this morning ^_^
And how exactly is that going for you?
Good luck Dell**EMC Employee** Interesting announcements Dell, 2012 looks to be very exciting for everyone :-)
No not really, people were quick to slate EMC for being the first to announce a price increase as a result of the Thai floods.... O look so are other vendors.
Psiren - I would love to see that quote for £1000 :-) the price I see is vastly different to that, even with the price hike.
Time will tell but I expect this price hike to be the case for everyone..
