Airbus to build plane that's even uglier than the A380

ashdav

Re: Hyper Beluga

You could get the wings of the A380 in it for a start.

However the main restriction to a plane this size is the runways of the Airbus factories.

Hamburg and Toulouse handle the A380 already and most are in open countryside so could be extended.

The fly in the ointment is Broughton where the runway is bounded by a main road at one end and a railway at the other. It's also quite narrow.

These planes, although big, don't carry much weight so only need 2 engines.

FBI Director defends iPhone 5C unlock tool that's obviously going to leak into wrong hands

Black Helicopters

The source of this....

My money is on Apple for the source of this. But they can't be seen to be giving away access to their phones so "a third party did it"

It won't go into the wild as it was passed directly.

Call me a cynic but........

FBI backs down against Apple: Feds may be able to crack killer's iPhone without iGiant's help

ashdav

Smoke and mirrors

Apple were approached by the FBI (through the courts mind you) to unlock the phone in question.

Apple refused citing legal this and that, setting a precedent, etc. Other companies could be forced into the same situation and so on.

In the meantime a "third party" has provided an apparent means to do what the FBI wanted.

Everybody gets a result.

FBI get what they wanted.

Apple comes out squeaky clean because they stood up to the man.

Call me a cynic but.......

You can't blame Apple. It's just the way the system works.

@Same old/Life is good

To take control of your Win 7 updates I'd recommend the following:

Turn off automatic updates.

Install WSUS Offline updates and (if you feel paranoid) GWX Control Panel.

http://download.wsusoffline.net/

Huzzah! No more Win 10 nags.

Re: Samsung S3 mini running 5.1.1 here

I'm running Cyanogen on a Samsung S2. Perfectly fine.

Everything Google has been removed (thanks Link2SD) and any apps are downloaded from the Playstore onto my computer (there is a way if you search) and side loaded to the phone.

Might need a new battery soon but they're peanuts.

Old but not obsolete. (No Arni icon unfortunately)

Facebook

"But investors seemed pleased with the results, and Twitter's share price climbed by more than 5 per cent on the news and continued upward in after-hours trading."

This has nothing to do with the viability of Twitter but has everything to do with the money grabbing "markets" that we are all told to embrace.

Muffins

Easier to buy the muffins and warm them under the grill after cutting them in half.

Adds a bit of crispness too.

I'll bet most people end up with spicy scrambled eggs when they try to make the sauce.or it splits.

If it does, add a few drops of water and whisk.

Looks wonderful but I've got to make do with roast chicken today.
