I really do use Linux! OpenSUSE, in fact. Have I been problem free? No! But a lot was due to my inexperience at the time. After being tortured by Red Hat, openSUSE pretty much converted me since ver. 6.3, over 12 years ago. Besides, it is always best not to touch a 3-5 year old pc. The HD is about ready to crater, and it usually happens just when you have everything about right. No sir. No Mas!

There are no truer words written than what you state Lars. I have been a Technologist for 30 years. Yes, even before computers. What we have here are Cave people wanting the newest technology without the brains to run it. Attoo the caveman is bitching " Ohhh, someone help Attoo. Attoo need smart phone for work." The Company gives Attoo a smart phone. "Ohhh, someone help Attoo work phone. Attoo need computer for work". So the company provides a computer for Attoo's use. "Ohhh, someone help Attoo how computer work". This damned cave dweller has just commandeered, and inundated the entire IT staff. It is best to steer clear of these type people, and not waste your time. You will not get paid, and if you do, the paltry sum will not equal the years of torture you will have to endure. Been There!

Odd bad news does not happen. It is manufactured. Elon is merely providing data from the cars computer that correlates, substantiates, and verifies that what he says is correct(truth), and what the low rent reporter says is incorrect(lie). Besides, computers don't lie. People do.

Linux Laptop
The best thing I ever did with a laptop is format the hard drive and install openSuse Linux. Once I got the graphics driver from Nvidia, all went well. I have had it now for 3-4 years. Presently running openSuse 12.2, with an addon 22 inch screen. Although dual-core, 64 bit, and 2gig of ram for only about $300, I would like to upgrade to a quad-core AMD processor, and 4-6 gig of ram. I have never had to defrag, antivirus check, or clean the hard drive. All in all, and Linux is an excellent OS when set up right the first time. Enjoy..

HP, what a sham of a company. They have the worst board on the planet. HP has become synonymous as a den of uneducated crooks, and thieves. We are out of the hardware business, and into the software business. Oops! Wrong. We are in the hardware business trying to build up the software business, but just bought the Palm phone business. Rats, we trashed Palm, the phone business, and bought a software business. Nuts, the software business is nothing but code on paper not worth much really. Hmmm, Did I say we still make crap hardware? I would love to run the company for one week. I can guarantee a roller coaster ride with excellent results.

ARM processors belong in toys, not computer hardware. If these damned manufacturers would quit nickel and dimeing us, maybe human kind could get ahead. AMD has some strong low power consuming processors. why not use them?

So let me get this straight. You have a Windows 8 OS running on a crap ARM processor designed for toys that does not play well with its PC cousins......Hmmm, reminds me of a piece of crap Linux derivative OS for kids, I won't mention any names Android, running on a 500 Mhz ARM processor designed for toys that does not play well with its PC cousins. What the hell is it with these manufacturers. They are going backwards, and the public is too stupid to know better. We have quad core laptops from AMD and cough! Intel running true OSs such as Linux, and cough! Windows. My question is why can't the manufacturers just give us a powerful X86 based 7 or 10 inch Tablet? Why are they even screwing around with all this other incompatible, slow ass shit!

Why Bother?
Android and WebOS are toys compared to a true operating system. Why not just port GNU/Linux to the devices. You would have just so much more usage from these devices. Plus, the apps are free and can easily be installed from repositories. Oh! Silly me... The processors in these devices most truly suck! They are inferior even to the Lowliest of Lows from Intel and AMD. Very little Ram. Poor battery life. Somebody! Please get me a 10" tablet that is a phone, has 2 Gig of ram, dual-quad core processor, 32 Gig SSD, OpenSuse installed, WiFi, Audio in and out, Microphone, 2 USB Ports, Bluetooth, HDMI, and Monitor out put, SD card slot with a removable battery. This is the winning configuration right here. This will dust off most of the sad tablets out there. Where do I buy one for $500?

I can't believe that you are so ignorant that you can't see through the lines. Rubinstein does nothing more than run companies into the ground making them easy for take over. He's never worked a day that prospered for a company. I could run a company into prosperity in no time. I've done it before. Where is my beloved Palm OS, PDA's, Palm phones? In the toilet, that's where. He and his ilk need to be strung up for fraud, and deceiving the public. I bought many a Palm PDA for business use. The same with the Palm Pre. Talk about a loss! I'm not at all happy with that clown.
