Years ago we had an independent judiciary with enough of the top judges prepared to,stick their necks out and be controversial.

THE BBC

Has a habit of being fairly left of centre, accused in our press of bias and in fact admitting to it on occasion. It's an organization staffed and run, just like the civil service by Guardian reading left wingers.

This is not meant as an insult, but they do have a habit of bias reporting. It was never like that years ago but political leaning has invaded them.

Some major issues disappear into the ether with them so don't believe the BBC is even handed anymore.

@ShelLuser, the UK has a habit of doffing its cap to the US, just look at the unbalanced extradition treaty we have with them.

The bottom line here is legislation written by a self interest group policed by a self interest group. That it is apparently being allowed, any laws that are silently brought in through the back door should be viewed with suspicion.

If you think that it applies only in the USA beware, there's no need to prove an offence, just a whiff of suspicion.

How will they stop a legit EU site hosting something like PB in Germany? They declare the host undesirable, block it along with all the legitimate business that uses the host.

The host either complies or goes broke with loss of business.

THE PROBLEM IS....

its not just the Police that have this problem, its the entire public services.

Put temptation in the way and people will fall into it.

A simple solution is ban the use of it by public servants as part of the employment contract, but imagine the screams of 'what about my rights', well don't we have the right to expect them to do their jobs properly?

I suppose though it is only right for Apple fanbois to accuse me of trolling, when I am just refering to FACTS, incidentally I have a 4s which is issued not out of choice. I find the phone as good as any other but object to Corporations the use billy boy tactics.

As to the article, Apple had time and could have mitigated things but chose not to for some reason. They have kept a strange silence over it.
