It's like when everything was called "2000" so it sounded cool and futurey.

Re: And then...

If they suspect you of something and you're using Truecrypt, they will suspect the hidden volume is present.

Re: Only computers?

Implying they won't use it for cat videos and porn like normal people.

Methinks you move in some interesting social circles, perchance?

Not particularly, but I have been watching Breaking Bad.

There ought to be a "confirm" button on the operator's screen.

Also, don't you mean Hanlon's Razor?

Ooh, I can safely store my credit card and passport scans on it!

Erm, why would I want to store copies of any of that, at all? A copy of my passport won't get me through immigration. A copy of my credit card won't work in a shop.

I'm sure you can find a torrent including all the ones that were removed. (Such a collection certainly exists for the Beeb, which is how I rediscovered Granny's Garden, which legit emu sites also don't have.)

Re: I had to Google to find out how to restart a Windows 2012 server from an RDC connection

Why are you at a console over an RDC connection? Sure, console might be the way MS want you to remotely admin servers now, but doing it over RDC sounds dumb. They ought to be running SSH.

And will it also, like some mobile networks, block sites that aren't porn but that some may find undesirable, such as gambling? Bearing in mind you don't have to be 18 to play the National Lottery, but you do have to be 18 to get the content block on your phone lifted?
