Guys like Nimble and Tegile use Supermicro server nodes in storage block chassis.

High-frequency traders use servers with overclocked processors as one of many ways to gain an edge in trading. Granted, they don't depend on them for long term usage, considering that many vendors don't warranty such servers as long as non-overclocked, standard servers.

DVRs and game consoles would be a big ones, be it an XBOX, Wii or PS3, or something like a Nintendo 3DS, PSP or PS Vita. Smart electrical meters, HVAC controls (residential or commercial), weather-aware sprinkler systems, EV charging stations, home security systems would also add to the count.
