Adobe Acrobat Reader 4 is the best, because it won't do those nasty things to your computer. It won't even play Real media files. It is a very small - only 2.2 mb. program that's fast and simple. It won't connect itseelf to the internet. Why do they make the bloatware? Who would pay $500+ to read a document. Who needs a Huge array of tools.
These geeks think they are so much smarter than we ordinary people. After all, we are the idiots trusting the most evil company with our most private things. They keep a secret profile of each of us. They claim that this information is not shared. They lie.
Avoid Google in everything possible.
The real problrm is online payments. Never sign into your bank's website. Do not even get a password for it. Too many risks. You can do telephone banking more securely. On the other hand, it is best to enter the branch. Cash is king--not Google or Microsoft. I don't trust them with my wallet.

I've used CCleaner for many years. I t works very well. One should always block auto updates on every software. I am glad I did with CCleaner. Still run version 5.43.6520. I used my firewall to block CCupdate.exe, so I hope I am safe. After reading this, I also blocked CCleaner.exe so it won't phone home. Didn't know it is SPYware.
When they have it, they should not give it to Zuckerberg. Are we reading Peter Strzok's text messages because of this? The California legislature has passed incomprehensible laws to supposedly protect our privacy. These politicians did not trust the public to vote on a privacy referendum. The fourth amendment to the US Constitutuion bans seizures without a warrant. Who has access to these calls and texts?
Do not trust FaceBUTT with any of your info. Gurgle is even worse about collecting all about us. I've heard people say they trust them, but not NSA, Chi-coms, or other governments. The problem with that idea is that your government agency likely slurps up whatever these entities collect about us. Never use Google search, Chrome, or G-mail. PaleMoon is a safer browser. Keep your add-ons like uBlock Origen up to date. Never use Facebook.

If they don't turn it off, it continues to ring. Put the switch to turn off the bell in an inconvenient location. Never used Facebutt, because FB shares too much personal information with every developer, marketing slimelord, scammer, and stalker. Somehow, though, the Obamafiles thought I was "gay", then was LGB, and later LGBTQ. I used to get mail inviting me to events or protests or asking me to hate Christians and Chik-Fil-A.

Gurgle and Facebutt want the power to censor our ideas. I don't trust them. They have more monopoly power than Comcast or Time Warner. You can find multiple service providers in most parts of the world.
Don't oppose freedom. If you do not want to read something, it is your right to delete or just not read it. If you cannot find an article, it may as well not be available. This is what the ChiComs enforce with the Great Firewall of China.
Gurgle is so evil, you should block scripts from them, Doubleclick, Googletagservicees.com, google-analytics.com, gstatic.com, youtube.com, Googleapis.com. Cut off their revenue. Your pages will load faster and you have fewer dancing, singing monkeys. Probably safer, too.
Cell phones only need location services when you are lost. All the above will save battery power, too. If your main reason to surf is that you enjoy ads, then ignore this advice. NoScript and Remove This Permanently work wonders with Palemoon or Firefox browsers.
To find it, you have to search for "location", but it can be turned off in <settings>. Then it is not supposed to detect or record it. You can just use Google or GPS only. On the other hand, the cell towers know when you are near them.
Do not ever use FACEBUTT or you will have no privacy.

What to do? You can 1) stop all this email and social media stuff amd disconnect or 2) enter multiple totally new and different identities for yourself to confuse the snoopers. In other words, deny them the data or put out an overwhelming amount of crap.
It is very hard to be unrecognizable by the major companies. To get more privacy I use Pale Moon browser which allows customization like Firefox. Much more private than Apple, Microsoft, Google and Facebook would like. Do not use a Google product on my computer at all. Block all beacons with Remove it Permanently. use DuckDuckGo Lite for searching, Use Ublock Origin to block the all So-So media. Other add-ons may help - BluHell Firewall and Disconnect will make web faster and stop tracking. Better Privacy will stop some Super-Cookies from showing who you are. Advantages of extreme privacy include few ads. Disadvantages are cannot watch video on the computer.
Can't watch YouTube on the computer. But when watch it through connected TIVO, but gives great big picture on my big screen tv.

The reason US warships pass through international shipping channels is to enforce the right of civilian cargo shipping to use these waters without interference. This is for the various peoples of large and small powers to potentially live a more prosperous life. China's actions are meant to enforce that country's control over this shipping. This OS should only be used for doorbells or door locks and other things like that that are useful to have on the net so bad guys can hack into them and steal your stuff. Not only do they want to sell your private information, but they wish to charge you for it. Ha, ha, ha. Suckers.
I do not trust these payment schemes. I am afraid that Microsoft, Google, Apple, etc. will want my wallet in their pockets. Possession being 99% of the law, what if the Bangladesh government domain stealers get into their servers? If they can steal $31 million from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, who stands between them and Samsung Pay, anyway?
