Ying Yang?
Skimming through the posts it seems ElReg is haven for CAGW skeptics - that's nice, i wondered why I always found it to be such an informed and balanced source...

It is patently absurd to say the largest software company in the world is in a position of 'too little too late'.
Serious IT decision makers in Government and the Corporate world trust them - and for very good reasons.
And also absurd to lay all the blame with Sinofsky - the buck stopped with Ballmer IM(not so H)O the most inappropriate CEO of a software company EVER (after Klessig of Quadratron) .
Bad decision Bill - BAD!
If 'Nuttella' keeps making these style of decisions he can turn the 'ship of fools around' for sure!
I'll add another point; (9?) since i live a beautiful but somewhat dusty part of the world this itty bitty, fiddle farty notebook case needs to be dismantled and cleaned (by a man with smaller fingers and much more patience than i) twice a year to stop it overheating, and as for the footprint, my old cheap and nasty case is still UNDER not ON the desk.. Apart from the two additional screens i also use an external 5 button mouse and keyboard.
In addition to the point you made about usage, must be added a factor for multiple aliases. Here's a wild guess, 4 per real user? As for the site visits, give me a break - i use an aggregation service that drops ALL my Social Media accounts into my email box twice daily - makes it easy to ignore the "chaff", consequently does FB have chance to pitch anything to me ? NO WAY. Add to that Mr Z's famous (they trust me, the dumb f...s) put-down of his customers and the value being talked up here is fanciful nonsense...
