Aside from the legality issue, if all your devices can access the DRM'd copy then why is there an issue?

The Flixster app allows one to access the Ultraviolet service so you would be able to access it easily via PC, iPad and mobile. TVs will probably have a UV app in the future if the manufacturers sign up.

...Motorola were also mentioned in the German injunction against Samsung. Take a look at the Apple's design 'patent' that was used in the injunction: a rectangle with curved corners and a black bezel with no buttons. Would anyone really consider that more square corners is enough of a difference? I doubt it so what are manufacturers meant to do? As it stands Samsung are the first but they won't be the last if they lose.

It's a minority of people; a lot of people are pissed off at the hackers for attacking Sony and subsequently pissed off at Sony for not having good security.
