"However, for that, the Bearded one will have to do what NASA did with its B747 shuttle carriers - modify it into a proper launch platform."
NASA hardly modified the 747 into a "proper launch platform"; they proved that it was possible to release a light, aerodynamically modified shuttle with no fuel safely from its carrier in flight. There were some nice designs for flyback boosters early in Shuttle development programme, but they weren't 747s... I always rather liked the one that was a sandwich stack of triangular pancakes, where the outer two were boosters which peeled away and turned back to land while the middle one headed on upwards...

"But if you find a Skoda V8 at €80,000 don't hesitate to post the link, I'd love to take a gander."
Well, if you go to town on the configurator, you can get a top end estate up to just under £42,000...
Still at that point it's better equipped than most high-end Merc saloons and Audis, so it's good value, even if not exactly "low-end"

OK, so if I'm holding this phone (right-handed) so I don't drop it -- with a nearly 6" screen there's a fair amount of it trying to tip itself out of my hand. The ball of my thumb is covering the bottom three icons, I can't reach the next couple up, and the top few are a stretch that loosens my grip. Looking at that first image, I reckon southpaw guitar players have got a much better chance of using it than right-handers.
If they want to tweak the UI to make it non standard, they should take a leaf out of a Linux phone UI I saw at MWC a few years ago, which popped out an overlaly "fan" of icons from the middle of the screen at the right hand side, all of which fell under one thumb. It could do second level navigation, AND could fan from either the right or left screen edge, as you configured it...
Whatever happened to that....?
