Mac Pro not available in Europe. New iMac can't have more memory fitted unless you get the 27" one. Mac Mini - an interesting idea - but when I upgraded a few years ago from my G4 Tower an iMac Refurb was much better value. Starting to think about a new laptop - current MacBook is starting to show it's age, but the MacBook Air screen is too small, and the MacBook Pro is too expensive...
We had a week of silent / unwanted almost abusive calls earlier this year. So I don't think there are any lessons learned.
$231,000 and it doesn't even work!
If we're going to frack can we at least follow Norway's lead and think about the future rather than immediate gains?

"Will 2103 prove just as momentous? Stay tuned… ®" - I suspect I won't be here.
Bought myself a new iPad (3rd generation) in May and very happy with it. I was quite surprised when Apple announced an upgraded quite so soon after.
Umm psychological
Let's see you've paid $199 or you've paid $499 for something that does similar things.
You will be less likely to complain about the more expensive one - or excuse it some how when it doesn't quite do what you want. You have to justify the expense - even to yourself.
Not 3D - I dislike the term 3D, it's stereoscopic. If it was 3D I could move around and see different things, and you can't.
What about my scanner?
Canoscan LIDE 30 - Pretty sure the scan software is run through rosetta - and I got that when I moved to MacOSX
Audio Problems
I had problems with my update.
Ran over night no problem - but on restarting I had no internal audio devices available, and it took ages for the mouse buttons and key board to start working. I'm talking 10s of minutes.
Did a system restore from before the update from Time Machine, and then installed again with no problems - did have to reinstall safari for some reason after the system restore, as that had decided to stop working.
Been with Virgin Mobile for years
Now being pretty much screwed by the tariff changes.
Old virgin Pay by Direct Debit:
Call to landline and Virgin Mobile - up from 21p to 40p
Calls to other networks - up from 36p to 40p
Text to other Virgin phones - up from 4p to 15p
Text to other networks - up from 13p to 15p
I only send the odd txt message - if I spend £1 a month it's an expensive month.
