Re: Rare occurrence on 3
Also been with three for a long long time, and this is the first occurrence we've had. More than happy to use Wifi for now though :)
Re: Incorrect apple bash
"Forget Apple: they don’t do choice, so you’re wasting your time there"
I can confirm, that I specifically paid the extra to get the higher-res, and MATTE screen. Apple bash ahoy!
A friend has the glossy screen, and it does make some colours look much better, but I just prefer matte :)
BUT ALL THERE IS IS CAPITAL LETTERS. AS SOMEONE WITH MILD OCD THIS PISSED ME OFF GREATLY.
Stick with 2010.
Never seen a SAM audit request before, but we've been asked to do one (And we are Microsoft Silver Partners!), and at least one of our clients have also received one, in the last month.
I tried the preview version tied in with our Office 365 account, and instantly reported the CAPITAL LETTER MENUS as a massive fail. Looks like they ignored feedback as usual. Also is it me, or have all the icons become super ugly?
Please, encourage piracy, maybe the MAFIAA will go after Microsoft!
Title?
"many professional climate scientists do not believe that variations in the Sun have any significant effect on the Earth's climate"
Do you think this is because their careers depend on their 'theories'?
/me gets his gas guzzler out again!
This was a review?
Really? Did you even play the game? If you had you'd know that you don't always get one skill point when levelling up, you sometimes get two, and you can't put all of your points into one tree, forcing you to have some diversity - unlike WoW which until you've spent 41 points (or whatever number it is now) forces you to spend your points in one tree only.
Having some links to some of the fixes might be useful!
>Surely Wsus-ers could just NOT approve the update? Who in their right mind lets all updates >auto approve? Especially a service pack!
Unfortunately something seems to have overridden the controls that allow you to only automatically approve certain updates. Possibly an SBS2008 issue...

This fixed the issue for us:
Boot to repair your computer, cancel repair, select Advanced Options and run a command prompt:
just do notepad exe, open reboot.xml
<?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>
<PendingTransaction Version="3.1">
<POQ>
<DeleteKeyValue path="\Registry\Machine\COMPONENTS" name="PendingRequired"/>
</POQ>
</PendingTransaction>
copy that out and drop it into your pending.xml at the top
reboot and voila!
