Mmmmmm!

This news won't surprise anyone who has spent any time knocking on doors in this great(lol) country, their are a majority of numptys hidden behind said egress control systems not to mention a horde of Fanbois and also remember how when you were a child you couldn't wait for the Christmas toy avalanche.

Tablets are just a fashion statement

The Tablet format is awkward and cumbersome, at least in sizes that make two hands a better proposition than one.

The iPad has succeeded despite the limitations of the format because many of its punters are just demonstating their love for Apple not any advanced IT knowledge, yes I know now I will be assaulted in writing by legions of System Administrators and Network tekkies but before you put finger to keyboard or touchscreen I would say that even you can be fashion victims and in my opinion that is what you are the format is ergonomically flawed.

I suspect this format will lose its appeal in a dramatic fashion in a relatively short space of time when the massive Apple fanbase find another product to adulate and worship.

I have used several tablets including two versions of the religious icon that is the iPad and haven't changed my opinion of the serious ergonomic problems.

I do own a tablet, I purchased the Asus eee pad Transformer a much better total format, actually genuinely useful as a sub Netbook device with a built in Tablet for the few occasions this is useful.

I will admit not to have used any of the smaller tablet formats but suspect that in these it is ergonomically better but you probably have the problem that lookers on won't realise you are the owner of a Tablet.

I don't.

Let me explain, I don't want an Ipad, don't get me wrong, I have no inbuilt prejudice against Apple products but an Ipad however you dress it up is.........a tablet, and to me the tablet format is cumbersome and awkward, yes, in certain circumstances it is useful but as a stand alone format, no thankyou.

I have been allowed to play with Ipads by their proud owners, posing with their style icons, I have played with other tablets as well, and all of them exhibit this cumbersome awkward nature.

Maybe it is me but when I have shown, even 'dyed in the wool' Apple afficionados my Asus TF101 Transformer their little eyes have lit up and retrieving the gadget has been a problem, those little grasping fingers holding on to it 'til the last microsecond.

The Asus Transformer is a far superior solution, yes it has problems but I wouldn't swap it for any mere tablet, now, let go!, I won't tell you again.

ICL v IBM dress codes

I think anyone who worked on ICL machines might dispute whether IBM were first with virtual computing we used and some of Fujitsu's ICL derived kit still use VME (Virtual Machine Environment) this originated in the late '60s early '70s. At the time strange though it might seem strange ICL were technically superior to IBM machines and if they could have go their reliability problems sorted and their Engineers to wear suits a la IBM engineers rather than cardigans they might still be around today.

Bye Bye Voda

well almost, all my payg calls will go via another operator but I pay you £5.00 a month to use your friends service whereby I can call 4 numbers for free, so you will get £5.00 a month from me until in your grubby greediness, you decide to change this. Then it's goodbye for good, what I hope is that for your profiteering you are rewarded suitably by your customers leaving in droves, then it might be goodbye forever, I can't wait.

Con artists don''t deserve to prosper anymore than pirates

'so let's hope he's kept his hands on that.', NO! lets hope he is such a poor Solicitor he has lost his house as well, not because I support file sharers but because this man was just as much a freeloader as them. He saw a route to a quick buck and without irrefutable proof decided to blackmail people he thought were pirating software or media. His sole interest was in his enrichment he wasn't an upholder of the law merely a cheap Con-man and in my book he deserves whatever happens to him.

Also I notice a considerable number of posts supporting his original position, I would love to see an analysis of the posters and their families and colleagues computers as regards their software legality.

Maybe you are being funny but just in case, he means he has planar speakers made by the justly famous hi-fi firm Quad Acoustics. They cost an arm and a leg but produce a sound that is almost worth it.

That is probably because the Ipod and Nano are c**p.

Where are the Grados?

Where are the Grados?, this review is completely irrelevant without a sample of the Grado range.
