Items that are in fashion ultimately become unfashionable.
If Apple were to release a turd with an Apple logo on it, I am sure the iTwats would buy it and it would become the worlds top selling turd.
I rest my case.
I have been bonking regularly with NFC for the past couple of years ... it is extremely handy for London transport and coffee shops.
It will nice to no longer feel like a weirdo, being the only person doing it.
This wont affect the masturbation app?
Apple would again like to thank it's loyal followers for beta testing another one of their products .....
It will get upgraded with an S ..... the iPhone 6S Plus.
"recently identified a small number of Coffee Card members (around 0.02 per cent) with some unusual activity on their accounts"
How is it that everyone I know with a Costa card and web login got one of these emails to reset their passwords ....
Every iOS release to date has been a beta test ... even 8.3 will be patched very soon.
To make them more authentic they have had to cripple the battery life and make them completely useless.
Over 1,600 pre-ordered watches went straight onto ebay ...
I am expecting that the other 998,400 apple watches will also be on there by the end of June when people realize that they are:
1. Pretty useless
2. Extremely un-cool.
I can happily use my S5 with EE's cash on tap (NFC app) to pay at Tesco .... and have been doing so for the past 18+ months.
Also use it every day to buy coffee at Costa and regularly use it on London buses .... I rarely have any problems.
Apple launches a new product .... no idiot queues at the stores ...... the product is seen as a dead duck and uncool.
Are Apple trying to circumvent this scenario?
Have they crippled the battery to make it more like the real thing?
"Just remember that the article does say the Google Wallet etc will also suffer from this problem"
No it doesn't.
The biggest problem with NFC payments .... is trying to get a service to use it with a phone.
After 2 years I managed to get Cash On Tap from EE but I am still restricted on which phones I can use with it.
I was being sarcastic ....
I can't remember an iOS release that didn't require to be patched within a week or two.
"It’s the first time Apple has run a public beta for iOS"
Apple have run a public test on every release of iOS to date ..... it just wasn't officially called a beta test (as it should have been).
Some people like choice and flexibility .... others buy Apple.
My EE phone lost it's 4G data connection this morning sometime between 8 and 9 however a MiFi that sits on my desk, also on EE 4G, didn't have any issues.
(ceneral London location)
Almost all Samsung phones/tablets for the past couple of years can take a 128GB Micro SD card.
(I was using one in my 3 year old GT 7.7)
More of I design feature I would have thought.
Every year I expect Apple to say a big thank you to the fanboys for beta testing the latest version of iOS ..... but they never do.
If it works as well as the iPod shuffle or Nano it will stop working if you sweat too much :(
Genuine Sandisk 128GB Micro SD cards are now selling for around £50 on Amazon. By the end of the year they will be under £40.
Err ... me! I use it almost every day to pay for stuff. One of the most useful things I can do with my phone.
Funny coming from someone that thinks that a 4:3 screen ratio is still still acceptable in the 21st century.
Fools and their money .....
Errr .... you don't need a Oyster Card App, I can already use my phone with NFC enabled S4 to pay for buses in the same way and for the same cost as an Oyster card and within the next few weeks I will be able to use it on the underground.
Bollox, I have been using EE's CashOnTap almost every day for the past year without any problems whatsoever.
Been using NFC on my GS4 almost every day for the past year ....
Eat, Costa, Boots, Tesco, London buses (very shortly the underground).... even the CoOp in the village now accept it :-)
Does this every year at this time, then when the new products are announced/released the share price drops.
iTwat appears to be acceptable ....
Ditto, I have never used a front facing camera on a phone. I don't see this as a problem.
Now that was funny.
For a long time the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 had the longest battery run time time of any tablet.
.... and a few £ to unlock to use on any network.
Even more of a bargain :)
I am one of the many S4 owners using an i9505G Nexus rom on my i9505 ...... to get rid of all of the Samsung shit from the phone :)
The biggest flaw I can see with the iPad mini is that it is the wrong shape.
The beauty of a small tablet is that it can fit in a suit or jacket pocket ..... the iPad fails in this respect.
Also makes it poor for watching movies.
... until I get one free in a packet of Corn Flakes.
The third bug fix to iOS 7 in just over a month.
That isn't very good, don't they bother to beta test the software?
I didn't have a problem copying the 6 seasons of the Big Bang Theory onto my 7.7" Galaxy Tab ..... ripped from Blu Ray to 1280 x 800, which is more than adequate.
Nothing to do with the competence of the programmers, it is the bastardisation of the OS in an attempt to increase profits of the manufactures that is the problem that gets fixed with a custom rom.
I don't want no Samsung ( or HTC or Sony etc ...... ) shit on my phones.
This will upset Rik Myslewski who seems to think Apple is doing so well .....
I would expect that at least 95% of people owning Android devices couldn't care less about fragmentation .... so long as they can play music & videos, access facebook, send SMS messages ..... and make telephone calls they will be happy with what they have.
There is good money to be made from Apple shares ....
Spread betting on their demise.
They need to do something .... their share price has taken a bit of a hammering since their last announcement.
If Apple were to release an iPad Mini 2 before Christmas in very limited numbers they would have to reduce the price of the iPad Mini.
Cutting the margins on one of their products just before Christmas ..... unlikely.
(Though I do hope so as my daughter wants one)
An app that lets you know where iTwats hang out ..... should make it easier to avoid then.
