Virgin's service is fantastic until something goes wrong. Their customer service is so incredibly poor it is laughable.
I have had on and off issues with my Broadband and Tivo service for the last 12 months and recently managed to get them to agree that the number of faults was not acceptable and that I had been overcharged for a service I wasn't being provided with. This, however, took around 20 phone calls, a load of emails, a few letters, 3 complaints which were all upheld, eventually culminating in engaging with them on Social Media which actually led to it being resolved.
They have major issues. It cannot possibly be cost effective to run support in that manor.
I thought that was quite witty by my own terribly low standards of humour. Oh Boris the Cockroach said pretty much everything I would probably have liked to if I had the time or intention.
Working within politics and I.T. over the years, I've read and heard my fair share of bollocks, indeed I may be responsible for some. I do have to say, though, that you should be proud of yourself. You have far and away exceeded any bollocks I have encountered or indeed been responsible for in my lifetime.
Re: Fix the save game fiasco while you are at it!
To be quite fair, this is nothing to do with PS+. It's been with that with some titles since Day 1. Protected saves won't back up to USB. All PS+ did was provide a compromise for those who needed the facility. Also would like to point out that if it wasn't for PS+ automated cloud backup, I would have had to go jump of a peer when my PS3 died last xmas and I hadn't backed up anything for months.
Re: Downgraded Desire S or upgraded Wildfire S ?
The Desire S is not a 'big phone' it's identical to the One V other than the things I mentioned (Front Camera, Memory and Sense 4.0 due to HTC's marketing department). For the money the Desire S is a far better phone.
Downgraded Desire S or upgraded Wildfire S ?
It has near identical specs to the Desire S other than the lack of a front facing camera and less system memory which makes me wonder what is the point of it? The Desire S is available for a similar price and has ICS coming for it. Other than filling out the range I don't see what the point of this phone is.
Re: Ainol Novo 7 Elf
Has 1gb of Ram and a 1024 x 600 resolution screen to boot.
Imap was definately affected. I couldn't access my gmail account over imap for a couple of hours.
Battlefield Earth or The Dilemma. Both truly awful films for a myriad of reasons.
They won't have the money for gadgets so will have to just sit there figuring out how to turn the pages on their paper magazines at the local library.....oh shoot, they might be closed too.
What has Unity got to do with anything?
I'm sat here posting from gnome-desktop on Gnome 3 on Ubuntu 11.10 Beta which was installed from the Ubuntu repository and works just as well as it does on Fedora. I would also argue that it works better due to better repositories, fonts and all round gloss. But don't let the facts get in the way of a good story. A 2 minute install of gnome-desktop is far easier than completely switching distro.
When are reviewers going to stop marking stuff down for not being COD. It isn't trying to be COD, oh and COD did not invent the genre so stop saying the MP modes are copies of COD. I think you will find most of these modes in Quake 3 and UT, ffs. Hire a proper reviewer that's vaguely aware of gaming before 2006.
It's pointless and horrible to use
Compared to the now replaced web based PS3 player it's awful. Almost to the point of being unusable.
ho ho ho
Been playing this non-stop for 2 weeks now and have to say that graphically, anyone who thinks that the visuals are PS2 quality have broken eyes, a crap TV or shares in Microsoft. Haven't experienced any tearing whatsoever on my rather modest Evesham HD Panel and it's an old un. So in a nutshell don't buy crap TV's then blame the games for the TV's crap performance with fast moving images.
