OS X users of the Senior Sort
Mr Coward is correct. You can have 'Senior Sorts' successfully working using OS X. That's because they only ever read, produce & re-process reports.
Hell, I work for a government agency and I once set up a system so my head of directorate could work from his iPhone. Doesn't mean I want my Dell machine replaced with a Jesus Phone though.

Windowsy find and replace
It may seem windowsy and a bit archaic, but as long as you use a text editor that waits until all replacements are done before refreshing (like notepad 2) it can be pretty nippy too.
I should know, I used to have to maintain a 1GB database at work that was stored in a text file (don't ask).
