As a Chinese I find your lack of taste of humor disturbing.

Fail on MS's term?
More like NV didn't get the driver suit compatible enough in time.
Icon says all.
How'bout the MOD UAV in GRFS?
Linux kernel is nor Linux, in the same way that a car engine is not a car.
Putting a linux kernel into a linux distro makes it a Linux, putting a linux kernel under a java VM doesn't.
You put a car engine into a car chasis and then you get a car. Trying to call Android a Linux is like putting a car enging into a speedboat chasis and then trying to call it a car. It just makes no sense.
It IS guns that killed people, not Adolf Hitler.
Re: Won't somebody think of the children?
Autonomous car FTW!
We'll make sure the enemy don't steal the keys!
The PC versions of Advanced Warfighter(1 and 2)
are more like chess games than shooters, just like any other realistic mil-sim.
reminds me of a scene in the final fantasy movie
where the heroin says she was tracking a certain sparrow(nothing to do with the captain) from space....
Is it just me, or....
that rifle in the pic looks quite like the SCAR in Crysis 1
Raptor is NOT the highest-tech aircraft
Lighting III is.
F-22 is simply the deadleist in A-A combat.
But F-35 is an all-around more capable aircraft.
Why the hell would you need 1920x1080 on such a small screen? Still think that your glasses are not thick enough?
Never heard of this D.Phone thing.
This is what they do afterall.
"spitting artificial lightning for hundreds of feet"?
All it would take is a single Miss. Misaka Mikoto....
"The PrimeHPC blade server with Tofu interconnect chips on the left"
They're now building servers with tofu? Good to hear that us server-admins won't be starving anymore...
"No Linux desktop has a real virus problem," he added.
And we all know the reason to this is.....
A good way to cut down cost
Since most of us are going to put a bootlegged Win7U on them anyway.
"It's unlikely to protect you from any hungry bears, though."
Then what about angry birds?
Go to your local computer shop and let them make you one from standard parts. Or just DIY your own, since all you need to make a common PC is case+MB+CPU+RAM+graphic card+HDD+monitor+KB+mouse+speakers......I mean, just how hard can it be for an average El Reg reader!?
Much cheaper than any OEMs and no software pre-installed!
Users are always in control: if you don't like a locked down computer, just don't buy it! Simple!
Well, since it's the 2nd gen....
why not just call it "Neo Genesis"?
Then Jobs would be an ultimate fool....
To give the go on th whole "Mac vs PC" thing.
Just how many times do I have to point this out again!?
What Dell claimed is that this is the thinest 15in "PC", not "LAPTOP"!!
And like many ppl said, a Mac is NOT a PC!!
So if you can't find a 15in that is thinner than this and comes with Linux or Windows pre-installed, then there is NOTHING wrong about Dell's claim.
Here's someting that they should've tried before stating that dirt-hack.....
"apt-get install samba-client"
There're only very few americans in this world.
and replys I ever read on El Reg!
You the SuperAdmin
who manually configure port forwarding for every and each internet going program on each and every computer on your network.
They should spend their time trying to protect real children rather than animated characters.
Graphics is weak
Could have slipped a 460m in there, but maybe the cooling system just can't handle it?
Doesn't work for shared hosts
which use domain names to decide which actual site you're trying to get to.
they would just block the IPs of the OpenDNS severs
just like they've already blocked all traffics to google's dns servers (188.8.131.52 and 184.108.40.206)
"Download it legally for free."
don't kid yourself pal.
"Run it on a clapped out old PC"
ever heard of something call Windows for Legancy PC?
"Give it to my kids without worrying they might break it."
suppose you don't run Linux as root, then Windows only does it better if you don't run it as Administrator.
There're many uses for Middle-click in Windows that doesn't exist in Linux
Like opening another tab, close a exsting tab, free scorlling etc.
So this is not a function problem, it's just preference.
How familiar is CentOS to a Windows XP user?
get you fatcs straight
win mo can't be installed on an android phone without extensive modifying
less collateral damage?
some navies are developing long range railguns that can't be stopped without a force shield (true story)!
Not only in anime though
Ever watched the trailers for Ghost Recon Future Soldiers?
too authentic !?
To me it's just too arcade.
Going back to ArmA2 now.
and a lot of dead civilians too...
Yet another reason to...
Just download a pirated copy of a game if you only want to play the single player part!
No review would be complete...
without a run-down of the Crysis series!
A limited Linux user is a user that is NOT in the "sudoers"
The very fact that you can run "sudo" means that you are NOT a limited user, but rather like a Windows Power User with UAC on.
And by the way, normal people don't install new softwares or change system settings everyday. Once a system is properly setted up, normal people just work with them, not keep tinking with them. Just like what normal people only do to their cars everyday: they drive them, not take them all apart and put it back together.
at great relief...
since my 1.6ghz*8 i7qm is spared~~
