I am seriously thinking to just dump all this social network lark, I only use it to keep up with people who I actually know and talk to, I am not a friend hawk and am proud to say I have 70 something people as friends (i got to 200 and though, this is bulsh*t, delete, delete, delete - amazingly there people who i actually see/speak to/ know! (I know you, your friend of a friend of a friend ... or yer i met you once 2 years ago - add me!)
FB, too many updates, at least give us the option to stick with the old visuals and you can still have you advanced backends.
Let things be, I don't want a time line, I don't want to be forced into sharing things, I don't want to be forced into having to administrate something in my own time, I don't want to know about someone bloody cats or baby pictures no matter how many times i select 'don't show me.....'
What if I don't want FB or the world to have a picture someone I know uploaded of me, I cant do much about it.
Still, daily, people don't realise that when you hit that upload button that content is no longer yours.
You are being a free ant in paid for work colony
Anyone ever seen the film Surrogates, I feel the time of younger and younger generations loosing the grasp on real socialising is falling.
Why cant 'social' networks connect, if that cant that not very social!
it would bring some competition into the area...
have Google's send a message to Facebook, Let some of the private social networks share images with the users friends on FB and Google.
The social network that is anything but social - if you not on it I cant add you as a friend thus I am not interested in you.
Let me guess, you use an apple pc?
another story of a user not fully understanding what they are dealing with and trying to push on.
dont like it dont buy it
To put the record straight, 9/11 happened in America
In England we refer to it as the London terror bombing.
We don't use/associate what people call 7/7 with England, its an American thing, not British.
You have to eat the sim card apparently
waste of typing and video
both the writer and video person (may be the same i cant be bothed to look) are looking far too deeply into this.
it doesnt understand what either are and what they actually do.
a monkey can pickup a car key and some annoying over hyped human will go look, wow, this monkey can drive!
If anyone trys to sell me a phone and mentions the words apps they would get a wet fish slap.
I think 99% of apps are stupid and useless - just time wasting or a fad.
1% of apps are sweeeeeet and I would love just to give a little click and use them on my laptop or desktop.
Isn't this a variant of the adobe air type thing. cross platform applications that are small to run or even can be run from the web?
(god i hate adobe, just starting to remove all air/reader/flash programs and go for open source, there to big, clunky and always need updating)
go back to looking at the original unlocking instructions on XDA for android devices, this will put a new bootloader on and then you can go from there, check if it works on your hardware first of course
gone are the days of manual instal
download there app from the market,
it will then list the builds you can install, select the one, and then when it restarts you have your new build.
Used them since my G1 and they do very good work.
I still cant find any real/actual information on why office 2010 is better then 2003. 2003 takes 2 or 3 seconds at max to loads, 2007 and 2010 takes 10 seconds.
ok we are on about seconds but in this world where we have the most powerful machines of all times i bet my old win3.5 with mono screen laptop boots and loads office(equivalent) quicker
With the ribbon, why cant i drag and drop sections about and have a simple button to reset it on the main file menu. Who do MS ask for input into there new products, themselves!!!?
cant i just have something that runs allot smoother but without all the add on crap a 'normal' person using wants, say i just want to write a standard doc, abit of colour text, bullet points different fonts and i may splash out an put a picture in
finally what is with the default paper size, i have bought a Uk product, give me A4 not dam Letter and why do they think i need a 2.5cm border - waste - wak it down to 1cm all round thank you!
funny name! ponder on changing myn now
so apple made smart phones....nope
they just marketed there first one well and gave loads away to celebs which then it caught on with all the 'hello' people then 'business' people picked them up.
nokia smartphones, ones with a full keyboard on, windoze mobile, not herd of any of these then i take it.
UK - 'Well if you promise then things wil be ok wont they mr Googl 'e' woogalee'
Google-' Er, Yer, Sure Sir, We will do that for you.'
'Uk - 'Gooood, now, anyone want a cookie?'
Google - 'MEE and when i am finnish ma cookie i'm gunna play with your data until i am bord then i might bin it'.
Well done France, ServiceWith* is right, atleast there making a point.
Yes officer that is a wire you can see coming out from my coat. Or, yes officer that is an electrical device you have found hidden on me and not its not my phone.
One sure way to get your flight ontime without increasing hassle...not
Ok things are getting smaller. take a look at the first image above, its look to patrude a good couple of mm up from the base of the head, the middle image looks slightly flatter and the final *new* image looks the the screw head is only about 1or2mm deep, thus smaller gadgets need smaller componants. small compoanants needs small things to hold them together.
its ok making things small, but you gota make them tuff.. perhaps a torx head isnt as strong once you start to machine the head thinner....? thus a redesign of a stronger design is needed.
But yeh, they wana stop you opening up there 'majic box'!
me and dad went in to get some bits for our classic astons that we know they stock (standard generic parts) just didnt know where in the store layout. Assistant persisted that he wanted to know make model and everything even though we just needed to be pointed in the right direction...so....
Staff: what car have you got
dad: Aston Martin DB6
Sales: Right, thats under Jaguar
Me: AH HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA,
I now am in a hosting company and its supriseing who will forget or ignore the warning emails that are sent out months before hand.
Halfords is like pc word - have a look at there products, right so thats the most i should be paying for it, wheres wilko's/maplins?
really, just really!!!!!!!!!
so are they saying that everyone else (banks, councils, hospitals) are destorying there data in correctly..unsafely,,,.. When i worked for the NHS we paid £50 a unit for the HDD to be shredded and the machines recyled - why cant they jsut do that....?
Like some of the above have said, i suppose its the consultancy fees and the server is going to the 'destroying centre' in a limo with bodyguard and escort (police on, not the other)
but only half, so if i am not a company, gov, charity or whatever...
so....what do i name my personal website, websitename.uk i would of though but its websitename.co.uk now but i dont want any thing else added in before the uk to certifiy its a personal site either, you can get .de or .ae and they dont have to have gov or whatever infornt of them, who actually decided this was the way it was actually going to be as perhaps they should rethink it.
whats the most annoying one you can get whilst thinking of it, ok the min is 2 charectors but whats the max? http://www.ukgoverment.SnuggleUpWithMeMrBanker.gov.bnk.uk
On another path i take it no one has gone to stirling.co.uk instead of stirling.ac.uk then........
And..No, no paris. i still have somewhat of a brain and self respect left.
I said ths to someone the other day and they couldnt answer me. Sell me this oh so great phone without mentioning apps......
wow the iphony has 275K off apps that just replicate what the others do and if your thick enough to need an app that reminds you of your period or car park reminder is i guess there is just no hope for some people. Android actually have apps that you can use daily and not for thick'os - and at the end fo the day if you cant find a app you can just make one yourself.
Internet shopping, you just cant get ya hands on the physical thing to decide you choices.
Good point, if i didnt have a car or live close thats a very good idea. also you could just tag things for you shop at the end of the week.
The google world
"Our final aim is to delete the data" after we have collated the information we need and copied to its required 3rd part company.
At the end of the day we only know what we are told.
..And I cant blame google for collecting OPEN wireless info, i would, anyone with wireless activated on there phone walking around picks this info up, what we do with it is different. .
Ban them full stop
http://www.theregister.co.uk/Design/graphics/icons/comment/thumb_down_32.png I get annoyed enough on the train when people feel the need to shout or atleast talk louder then required about a subject i dont really want to be hearing, actually whatever the subject is i dont care, i dont buy heat! it is possible to leave you phone and spesh if going on holiday.
Do roaming charges apply whislt int he plane?
