Boxee rules
Whilst Boxee has some flaws, I have yet to see a better solution
Boxee Box
I've had two of Boxee Boxes since launch, and are the sweetest media players out there...
Atari 16 Bit
I had an Atari 800XL... The Lucasfilm games were awesome, Ball Blazer, Rescue On Fractulus, et al fantastic machine
Best streamer
XBMC with Navi-X or Boxee Box with Navi-X, unbeatable!
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
Parmo's rule
Sadly I no longer live in the Boro but when I do return a parmo is top of my needs, and now nearly every takeaway sells them in one form or another.
63KGS
I agree with the earlier poster, 63Kilos is nowt! get to the gym you wimps.
Dungeon Master
DM on the Atari ST was and still is one of the greatest RPG's, has anything else come close yet?
Best article ever
Hands down this article and the subsequent comments from it form the best thing the Reg has ever done, thanks to the zx80 I got hooked I to IT and have worked all over the world owing it all to the accessibility of those hobbyist machines, the problem with newer machines is that they have no 'tinker' value nor create any interest in looking under the hood
I love it
I have been using xbmc for years but the boxee box is a breath of fresh air, you do need some tech savvy tho' to get the best from it and you can use us based VPN's to access us content plus the navi-x app opens up all kinds of content. I mostly use it for my local media and it plays all files perfectly, and contrary to this review it runs silently
I was a doubter...but I love the damn thing
I was a doubter and I love all things Apple, but the iPad just didn't cut until I actually started playing with one and to my surprise they are really useful bits of kit and I will more than likely upgrade when the new one comes out next year.
Advent Vega?
Why hasn't el Reg mentioned the Advent Vega soon to be sold by Dixons etc?
Love it - 3G and WiFi
I have the new 3rd Gen and I am currently on hols in France, the 3G is cool as is the web browser and you can surf to almost any site. I use Calibre at home to sync and send converted news feeds to my Kindle via email. This is the most useful device that I have and has superseded my iPhone as my favourite waste of time...'nuff said
Still has a long way to go
I keep everything all catalogued movies and Tv SHows, with media served via CCX stream on my iMac to XBMC servers all over the house...I like the look of the device and if XBMC can be ported into it then I will replace my classic Xbox's and use the new kit
