Which of UK's major ISPs will let you have exotic p0rn? NONE OF THEM

Re: Sweet...

I ended up torrenting Channel 4's Cyberbully the other day because 4od was being a massive pile of steaming turd, whereas the torrent took all of 4 minutes to complete.

When piracy is easier than getting free content legitimately, you know there's a problem somewhere!

Far Cry 4 review: It's a far cry from Far Cry 3

MikeyD85

Amen!

"What I do hope is that Ubisoft now gives the franchise time to breathe and evolve, rather than add it to the yearly production line."

The quality of Far Cry games have always been their greatest selling point. Yearly releases will make the formula become stale, not that Ubisoft know anything about AAA titles becoming stale...

Re: "... 256GB will soon feel rather small for multimedia projects."

I don't do serious video editing by any stretch of the imagination, but if I'm recording game footage at 1080p/60fps at 50Mbps, space gets eaten very, very quickly - around 375MB per minute.

ONE MILLION people already running Windows 10

MikeyD85

Daily driver

I've been using it as my daily driver since it came out. I quite like it tbh. It's been stable and fast enough and I like some of the UI improvements over Windows 7 (I haven't used 8 in any great length so things like the resizable snapping are new to me).

I'm quite looking forward to seeing how it develops.

Le whoops! Microsoft France boss blows lid off 'Windows 9' event

MikeyD85

Quite looking forward to it to be honest

It looks nice, it'll have Direct X 12 at some point, it is less touch-centric than Window 8.

I mean, that'll do for me really. I quite liked the way Windows 8 felt and ran, just wasn't keen on TIFKAM.

Apple iPhone 6 Plus: GORGEOUS FAT pixel density - but it's WASTED

MikeyD85

Obviously

I'd love to know under what conditions Apple get these figures. Same for most manufacturers really. 10 hours video playback may well be possible, but if that means on flight mode with 10% screen brightness and no apps running in the background, that's certainly a non-real world result.

Shame

I liked P4U.

Maybe it's because as a tech person I walked in there knowing exactly what I wanted so getting to the point was quick and easy, but I can't say much wrong with them. They've been helpful in the past when I've had dodgy handsets (LG GX2 for example) and have generally been OK with me.

Plus I liked getting bloat-free, network unlocked devices from them on contract.

Re: "claims people make about their future behaviour doesn't reflect real-life"

Streaming music apps like Spotify are so close to being perfect it's untrue. All we need is properly decent, ubiquitous mobile broadband. Especially in the countryside when I'm thrashing the motorbike.

When we have that (mainly because I listen to music either at home or on the go -rarely somewhere where I don't have either local storage or wifi), I'll happily sub to one of these.

The question really is which bloody one! I had the same problem choosing between Netflix and LoveFilm.
