Re: "He was found not guilty, therefore he is innocent"
"Quite disturbing that a doctor and nurse are testifying against a patient"
So some poor woman has to die *before* a doctor or nurse can raise alarm bells?
So now that Bitdefender has blabbed the flaws in the script, the naughty people can develop a workaround to make it even harder to break.
Why shouldn't the BBC be allowed to protect their property?
It's this perverted assumption that everything online should be free and if it isn't then it's a legitimate target to be hacked / distributed.
Re: There is no need to read her email for it to be a disaster
Anyone know what a FAT check is?
While you have the right not to care about the English, other people do have the right to care about poor English, so get off your high-horse
"Such medieval, much Warcraft ... "
What?? That's not even English...
Wasn't SCART a French invention?
Re: Corporation tax seems silly.
"After all, the money a company makes eventually gets distributed, either into dividends or salaries of the employees or by purchasing components etc. Each time it gets distributed, it get taxed."
Er no, that's why Apple has billions of dollars in the bank....it hasn't been distributed at all.
hostgator and hetzner do similar
Both have asked me to send them scans via email of driving licence and/or passport to prove my identity. Needless to say that I declined their request.
Re: I didn't cancel my account because of one security mishap...
Yup that's why I've cancelled too. I've been with linode for years now, but the fact that I had to learn about the breach from external, non-linode websites is pretty appalling.
Oh no, another £14 billion down the pan...
Re: Stupid, stupid move.
How on earth do you "heavily fine" a company like Apple when they've got billions in the bank? What's a few hundred thousand £ to them?
Who gives a rat's ar5e? It's a privately run company, little different to Microsoft and as such they can do what they want.
Use Debian or BSD and get over Canonical.
Hmmm write an "enterprise" application in SpringMVC or in Django? Python wins hands-down for shallow learning curve, simplicity, and speed to market - and I'm a java developer!
Isn't this a good example of why not to put all your eggs in one basket..?
You'd have thought that someone in RaspberryPi would've had a definitive answer about requiring CE certification *before* they tried selling them.
Their whole launch has been a fiasco - only the Brits (of which I'm one) can come up with a good idea and then really screw it up!
Now I know where they got the idea for the name "Raspberry"...
Apple shouldn't be allowed to advertise the phone as 4G in the UK when there is no 4G network.
That's akin to car manufacturers advertising that their cars can reach speeds over 150mph, when there's no-where you can drive at that speed.
Re: Garbage ...
My thoughts exactly. If I were an author, which sadly I'm not, I would explicitly state that my works were not for sale in schools/colleges etc.
"We're still in discussions with potential launch providers for UKube-1..."
I nearly choked when I read the name, I think they left-out an "L" after the "UK" part.
I guess that next on the drawing-board is UK-KY-1?
Does this mean that iTV will be as crap as ITV?
All at sea
But I thought Apple could do no wrong. I was lead to believe, following numerous reg articles, that only Microshat releases stuff that is buggy, incomplete and/or frequently doesn't work.
I've recently discovered the joys of something called a pen and paper. So little down-time using said articles.
You're joking yeah? You seriously want to leave your health details with microsoft? While you're at it why not just post them onto your homepage too...
