And even then it gets tricky as soon as you use any library functions or are involved with classes. Even worse of course how many people actually check what the compiler outputs? After all your C++, C#, Java etc is NOT what is actually run on the machine. Amusingly even that isnt quite enough, chips themselves have mistakes often around cache so when you think you have proved something on one piece of silicon you havent from another. Now we are still at a level where such things dont matter as we are too sloppy even before that, mainly due to the incompetent buffoons that 'manage' these things. The same idiots that think it is going to be better if you have just fought your way through a 3 hour commute (to be with your colleagues), are worrying about your gas bill (because they dont pay enough) and are throwing up in the corner from the foul coffee or Jimbos daughters bout of sickness imported from school.
