O. M. G.
People are idiots!
I really don't like
The new apple. I have been using apple since 98...that's 98. I have been through all iterations of apple since Jobs was reinstated. The new iTunes is a PITA! I still haven't figured it out. I hate being spied on all the time, and they are obviously working the end user for the extra coin. They could standardize their power adapters...but don't. They are constantly forcing you to upgrade and change with little to no legacy support. It's all about forcing you to buy in. The only thing stopping me from going windows is that windows is WORSE. i can't get crap done on a windows machine. I spend all my time trying to "fix it" to work. Some one with some brains AND common sense really needs to save humanity with a NEW OS! You would make a mint and take over the world.
China spreds trash all the way to Moon.
Fixed for you.
This is the conversation I just had over coffee this morning:
Daddy, will my robot put me to bed at night?
Why don't we just not invite them in?
We will have no choice, there are too many willing fools in the world, like computers and smartphones they will be in every part of your life. Get used to them.
Will it do my homework?
Learn where the off button is honey, daddy will teach you where the off button is.
Jobs would have turned Google into his whipping bitch by now.
I don't understand it. A whole generation has been raised without watches at this point. Nobody wears watches but gangsters. A search engine is doable and fits nicely into their company identity. They have the storage and technology, all they need to do is devote themselves to a top of the line algorithm. We need an alternative to Google obviously. A watch just makes no sense.
Ridiculous. Apple needs to be working on a search engine to take down Google. Nobody is interested in a watch...from anyone.
This is so Fracking Scary.
Teach your children now. Start spreading the news with #Prep. I have. These people are not going to be able to handle this technology. They are too arrogant, eager, and young. This is the incarnation of evil and it's about to get very, very bad for the human animal. There is only one possible outcome. After the fall of man we will join with machine and try to fight them from the inside. #Prep.
Ain't gonna work
The guy is too attached to his perceived company, which ain't his company any more. He doesn't have any clue of the inner workings and office politics currently going on. How would you like the former owner of a company you work for breathing down your neck and carrying on about how it used to be done?
Google owns the LAW. Do all evil, all the time.
Now they own your home as well. Prep for the robot wars.
Re: And you couldn't save energy before the Google purchase...
Well, lets examine this. They have build super secret storage facilities that are more secure than area 51. Their data has become uncontrollable and showing "sign of life". They own the most advance war machine company on Earth, and they have been given the U.S. health care system to boot. ...Now they control your house. Google is obviously run by the Alien robot overlords preparing for world invasion. Prepare yourselves now.
Do all evil all the time.
Believe it when I see it suckers.
Not that it really matters
It's already too late. The best thing you can do at this point is teach your children how to live in a world where you are being constantly spied upon, even in your own home. Thank you again technology, for changing our world. By the way, I just hot linked this story and it was taken down for a few minutes...then reappeared.
Just so you know
IK makes some of the best keyboards I've ever played... and I've played a lot.
DO ALL EVIL ALL THE TIME.
You've been had... Google already has your essence downloaded into it's secret data warehouses. It is building a replicant of you as we speak. Technology bought from Boston Dynamics. You are no longer necessary humans. What are you going to do? Turn google off? Right....
Nothing to see here.
"Bet the farm" products were all apple used to do then. Every product was an all or nothing product. As much of a perverse ttyrant Jobs was, the world misses him right now. The whole tech industry is simply riding on his coat tails at the moment.
This works both ways
Imagine a computer bathed in electromagnetic fields. I would fry the electronics. Renders the object "cloaked" useless.
I keep telling you guys
Privacy died in 1995. You are way, way, waaaayyyyy late on this. I have totally given up hope half a decade ago. What will change? Absolutely nothing. Welcome to the future. A place where you are but a member of the borg collective and robots raise your children.... it's too late. We will soon merge our conscience into a machine and travel into the stars. It's "a brave new wold" until then. Thanks technology.
It's been given the U.S. health care system. Now it knows how to kill us.
Simple is ...
The plan is to make a cheapo iPhone knockoff. Of course it isn't, and in case you didn't notice, the iphoneC didn't do so well.
Re: Should I upgrade from an iPad 1?
I'm using an iPad 1 as well. It is getting pretty slow with all the OS upgrades. Even the internet is getting frustratingly slow on it. I use a bunch of the more high end apps, and some of them won't even work on the older iPad now… so it's being donated to the 6 yr. old. She is ecstatic. I got my use out of it. Time for an upgrade.
They are naked friends
isn't our own world supposed to be destroyed by our own sun in around 3 billion?
Nothing changes. In fact you've made them stronger. They no longer have sorry about what would happen if the people found out. They can conduct their business freely in the open now. It's now an accepted part of our society. Notice how mainstream media simply does not report your little leaks anymore?
Doing things right
They are waiting for the new flexible screens to be perfected and made cheaper. They are also figuring out how such an item might be most useful. If they are going to make such a product they will do it right. They won't just throw an unnecessary clunky peace of jewelry out there that is uncomfortable to wear and has no useful function what so ever. If they can not do it better, if they can not make it useful, they will not do it.
Re: The State is going to its fallback position
I'm not going to read that. This is the comments section of an Internet site. Not a literary class.
Absolutely zip, zero, nada, goose egg came from these leaks. If you didn't know this was going on before the leaks you where/are stupid. Nothing changed.
This is the stupidest thing I have heard in a long time. I have been using apple since '97. Let me repeat... 1997. The reason apple makes gops of cash and is taking over the world is because once you are in the apple universe you have to upgrade every 3 yrs to keep it running. You have no choice, if you do not continue to upgrade your hardware and software every few years you will find your hardware getting so slow it's unusable and your software will no longer be compatible with anything. This is how they keep the income coming in. Secondly... they ARE getting cheaper.
The hand that feeds
Google analytics ... IMO.
more than meets the eye...
robots in disguise! ...
I is I, Megatron, that have given this knowledge unto these puny earth monkeys of flesh. My invading army is even now hurdling towards their mineral rich world where we will establish a new and deadlier decepticon army. Machines that will destroy the autobots and conquer the universe!!!....
by the way.
You guys do realize that the U.K. gov. is the worlds worst offender when it comes to spying on it's own right?
Re: Thanks for the read
Did you change the world yet? If you wanted to live in an idealist world you should have started 25 yrs. ago.
Re: Thanks for the read
Yeah right. What do you think you are going to do about it? Best devote your energies into something you DO have control over still.
Thanks for the read
Normally I abhor Snowden leaks, but I found this an interesting read and easily digestible. It's too late to fight this kind of thing. It's the new reality brought upon us by technology. I'm not a player or a user in this case, but the outcome of these new cyber wars will define my average existence none the less.
Re: Green apples
Entire... iPad 1 not fast enough o catch it.
So apple is worth as much as the INTIRE pharmaceutical industry? How about bringing it home to the good ole' USA now.
My next thought was... now they just have to make the software something the industry WANTS to use.
This is a classic microsoft move and it's genius. Find isolated pockets of specialized industry and business and target it with specially built software. This is exactly how they wormed their way into the PC industry and it's brilliant. They will sneak their way back in the back door with moves like this.
If you are new to this, or didn't expect it... welcome to the wonderfully enclosed world of apple. Where you will need to keep shelling out every three years for a new product that won't make you pull your hair out just trying to do the most basic and mundane functions. It's the price you pay for a product that actually works... until someone is smart enough to bust a new OS on the scene that is worth the effort.... hint, hint... it's time smart people. The market is RIPE for a new OS.
I'm a man on the US. I think the 5c is the future. Cheaper and more easily produced. It gives you some choice to make it personalized and is easily updated in the future to be even more personalized. Cheaper, faster, and more advanced materials is the future of iPhone.
to get your name on the internet. FAIL.
Re: Why oh why
With me personally, I do a lot of audio stuff on these high end ipad apps, in 24 bit and even 32 bit sound now, so... I'm guessing that 64 bit processors can handle that kind of multi media better.
What are u going to do?
Take down 40% of the Internet? It's too late. Privacy doesn't exist any more. Not even in your iwn home, so get used to it.
Nothing to do
This has very little to do with apple and a lot to do with the US GOV wanting to work themselves into apples data. They start with the easiest target (books) and move in then set up shop. I think it probably started when apple tried to keep them out of iMessage (don't know what ever became of that one). This is a classic US GOV power move.
Re: Security hacks
The only security you are concerned about is job security.
So some lonely geeks who need to publish a paper invented a way to create a security consern for apple users so that when it hits the wild they will have more work trying to find ways to "secure" it. I hate these security thieves.
The record companies did it
The record corporations pushed digital music because there were so many pressing their own vinyl records (creating competition) and recording music on cassette (instead of buying it). They tried to "flip the script" and wound up screwing themselves in the arse.
