Girls' school head condemns bubblewrapping of kids

Sense ??

I would really like to meet the ex army teacher and congratulate him for bucking the stupid, risk averse, US style culture of breeding pointless, brain dead unthinking lard arsed kids with about as much knowledge of the real world and it's problems as a retarded donkey.

Sadly though, he will probably be sacked because some dumbfuck government agency or claim seeking parent see an opportunity to do something 'for the good of the kids'

People who support the sort of risk averse culture we currently slave under should piss off to the states where they belong and would feel at home. Before they fuck it up for the rest of us.

Hypocrisy

OK. Something nobody has mentioned yet. It may be the church's own building, paid for entirely by them, in which case, legally they can chose who uses it. If any part is publicly funded, they DO NOT have the right to do this. UK law, not some religious set of rules.

Where it all falls apart for the 'imaginary friend' crowd is that while they preach tolerance, charity and the rest of it, they appear to be the most intolerant, uncharitable, obnoxious (we are right, we don't need facts...) people this side of the fundamentalists in any other religion.

I have no time for these so called 'christian' people who have kidnapped moral standards that most people naturally live by and claim it as their own. I have probably done more charitable work, raised and paid more money for good causes than these so called 'righteous' people and have no time for them.

More humourless crap

To sceptical bastard: the Welsh term I use for 'wanker' is 'hunan rwbiwr'. Not official, maybe, but works, just as 'mam-fonciwr' is a good Welsh version of motherfucker !

Anyway, as others have posted, I am Welsh and found the whole article to be bloody hilarious. This reminds me of some idiot who insisted the police investigate comments made by Anne Robinson in some interview years ago. Don't they remember that Max Boyce (crap) made a lifelong career out of songs and comments that England were shit at rugby ? Having been involved in very nationalistic behaviour over the years, as I may have done, does not preclude common sense.

For fuck sake, if people who read the register can't understand humour--(I don't fucking BELIEVE that a spell checker has marked that up as incorrect, on an UK website, who the hell has put the yanks in charge of spelling ???)-- then possibly they should stick to Hello magazine's website or something. These are the same wankers (hunan-rwbwyr ?, that would be the plural) that incessantly complain to Private Eye about things that offend them, in a satirical publication.

OK, back to the comment box, is there any reason WHY non american spelled words are highlighted as if they were spelt incorrectly ? This IS an UK based site ? That is the main reason I read it as it has less US bias than most other sites. Not racist, just like to comment in my own (second) language in my own country without being told I can't spell.

areas

OK, not being English, but Welsh and detesting football with all it's attendant religious fanaticism, can I ask that the reg use square metres, cubic millimetres and so forth and dispense with bus volumes, football pitches etc.

Leave that to the tabloid press, who assume their readership is too stupid to perceive areas in their actual terms.

As for the use of English, I have no problem with you people out there in the US having your own version of English and it pisses me off no end to have it pushed onto us as the norm.

I don't care how pedantic it may seem, or how much easier it is, if you want a standardised form of English, you change your version to ours. If you don't like the idea, you will get the drift of my argument.

social engineering

Isn't it time people had to get a license to own or use a pc, like you do for a car or a motorbike ?

Obviously the scum that produce spam, viruses, trojans et al should be given over to the taliban for stoning practice, but do people still seriously click on anything that offers them a freebie ?

If so, their bloody machines should be confiscated so that they don't continue seeding the web with this shite.

Possibly the RIaa and MPaa and other such leeching organisations should spend their time finding and killing these fuckers instead of going after grannies, kids and dead people.

Obviously, I am not a Guardian reader.
