I brought the PS3 to play 2 games on, a cheap blue ray player (at the time) and to run linux on.

Also, yes it was one of their selling points advertised quite alot as an additional feature of the PS3 to get more audiences interested in it. I considered one time purchasing 5 to run in a server farm because they ran so well....i know there are companies which have also done this, wonder what they are doing now....

I had linux on my PS3 for just over a year after they axed it (refused to update)....until Fifa 11 came out. Sony should not be allowed to get away with this!
