Re: Advance info about killer updates?
If the operating system and these apps did nothing at all there were be no security issues. Bring back DOS.
Re: "producing superior products through innovative technology"
Don't call me Shirley.
Re: nothing but pure fancy
Yes there was a mod, every student had it at the time... Article has gone tits up here and this needs to be clarified. Stuff like this is very important to the middle aged.
You can organsise stuff on the start menu as well.
Regardless I see the start screen as just a larger more prominent start menu. It works fine. I think those who don't like it haven't spent time customizing it to their requirements. You can take off Metro tiles and replace it with tiles that link to normal windows apps.
I think the real issue is some people hate metro.
Well Start screen <> metro, it just defaults to displaying metro apps. If you don't like it change it!
I've got no issues with 8.1.1
Re: "If you want to listen to great-sounding music"
Classy earplugs? That would not be as the artist intended. Most of them are deaf already.
Re: This new stuff looks boring
Arcam Alpha 2. That is all.
Sorry no pay rise again this year. Here is a better smiley face thingy though to keep you happy. Now get back to work bitch...
At the end of the day it's the band members that lose out.
Even established acts are feeling the pinch what chance is it for newcomers. You have far more chance winning the lottery than making a living even for a week.... even if you are really really good....
Sent by office 366, keeping up with the trendies.
I assume the first post be Mark Zuckerberg in the nude (ie without hoodie). Who will be the first to post a picture back?
It's just so exciting.. Now hand me my Valium and copy of People magazine.
YouTube... The new MySpace.
Would never happen to me and my Yahoo webcam ;)
Maybe Timberlake can invent some dance moves to go with it.

They have you well trained...
Re: Libertarians != anarchists

Oh and they get to keep their guns without regulation ;). So dumb....
When a customer says to me that their domain is on 123-reg the first thing I do is try to move them over to mydomain. Terrible terrible service.
Dah Dah Daaaah!!!
No one would have believed that in the beginning of the 21st century that human affairs where being watched from the timeless worlds of space. No one could have dreamed we were being scrutinized as someone with a microscope studies creatures that swarm and multiply in a drop of water.
Few man even considered the possibility of life on other planets and yet across the gulf of space minds immeasurably superior to ours regarded this Earth with envious eyes and slowly and surely they drew there plans against us...
Re: Wrong way around
Yup three thumbs down from idiots who think issue should be solved by opinion poll rather than what is the reality. Go ahead I'm after your down thumbs...
"Yes the sun is going to crash into the earth"
"But it is coming towards us, straight towards us"
that is your perception....
"We could die!"
Facebook says no...
Wrong way around
If a recommend fix is to use IE compatibility mode, then actually it's almost certainly Dynamics that is broken not IE. I suspect workaround code for the IE10 was in place, and now that needs removal for IE11.
No pain no gain..
Living next the busiest railway track in Europe, and building a directional blue tooth aerial. What could possibly go wrong? ;)
They've fixed it
Move on... nothing to see.
Sorry that isn't scheduled until Firefox version 1045 (Next week then).
When "creating" (copying ?) articles it is generally good practice to quote our sources:
Looks like they let Max Keiser out again.... Down boy.....
Or just buy a Synology Disk station.
I have the earlier version of Android (4.3) and Nexus 4. I can do direct print as well. This is not new with KitKat as the reporter seems to suggest. Please correct your article.
@Matt So I fixed half the problem ... Sorry you are not happy that I didn't fix the other half . Clearly you are not satisfied (do you think I'm Apple support?) and for some reason you think I cannot read.... funny that... Guess you are an all or nothing type of guy....
Did you not read the comment before you last wrote something....
"Yup I solved HALF the problem"
Thankyou for clarifying though in several words and phrases....
BTW my Nexus 4 (android) is working fine... thanks for asking....
Yup I solved half the problem and got 6 downvotes for it.
Without an iPhone (I use Android).
Settings -> General -> Accessability -> Parallex -> Off.
Is there something I'm missing?
I notice it was a online survey..
Guess the reviewer gave up when he couldn't smell Steve Job's armpits within the box.
Re: Only one Android?
Er you miss the point, they "tested" two iOS operating systems and only one Android. That is not fair.
They looked at two Apple phone OS's. Therefore they should have at least looked at two Android OS's, i.e. In addition the generic version that comes with Google Nexus 4 (without Samsung garbage thrown on top).
Looking forward to version 21 of this phone next year, after all it's Firefox.
In all seriousness let's see what it's like in 2015.
Re: @ Ilsa Loving
@Anonymous Coward Troll - No you are reading it wrong. Sense of humour failure clearly.
Re: Truth or consequences
Wow anonymous coward receives 69 downvotes. Is this a record? If so I intend to break it.
Er I love Apple, Microsoft is cool, Linux is better than Microsoft. Apple is better than Linux. Microsoft is better than Apple, Linux is better than Apple. MC Hammer rulz!
That should do it....
Re: Think of the fanbois - El reg.
I have already patented the idea. Thank you.
They are rolling out another 4.3 update
They are rolling out another 4.3 update for security fixes. Yes a second "4.3". For minor security fixes. Maybe it will solve that issue by stealth.
Really still running OS/2?
Lordy...The sooner we find intelligent life out there the better.
Contract phones are the past.
Get a Nexus 4 and tell them to shove their contract.
"You are getting into very specific scenarios".
Nice ending. Move on.
