Perhaps it's those nice "white hat hackers"...
And now they've got the source code, they're going to do the job properly for Adobe.
In my dreams. ;o)
I am by no stretch of the imagination a fan of Apple, or any of their devices or business practices, but this bloke is a boil on the backside of all the companies he has share-holdings in.
Offer him, personally, a dollar a share and tell him to fuck off!
Translated into real English ...
Bend over, and stop squealing.
There is a choice. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Have you got a launch date yet?
CBA to read back over all the postings to check.
Oh, and keep up the grand work chaps!
Nice to see them...
Rinsing Apple owners for the "iDiot" tax.
Re: Equally tiresome...
Re: only making 250% profit instead of the usual 300%.
But shirley, last years tech is cheaper now. And plastic cases are certainly cheaper to make than machined and poorly anodised aluminium?
Probably gone up to 350%
Re: Ask a woman who has ....
Have to agree with that sentiment. I've spoken to two women who have given birth and had gall stones, and they both said gall stones were far more painful.
Really made my day. :o)
I have numerous health problems, including having three heart attacks, but gall stones wins the "Hurts like fuck" prize by a country mile.
Like being run through with a rusty cutlass. Slowly and repeatedly.
Better luck this time chaps and chapess.
Hope the weather is as good as the other day.
Great video from the chase car, by the way.
I should imagine for supporting devices that didn't exist three years ago...
The built in wi-fi on this PC doesn't work OOTB on Ubuntu 10.04, but is auto detected and works fine on 12.04
Debian 7 support is there, Centos 6.3 works.
Only "problem" I have ever had was a Broadcom WI-fi in an old Dell laptop, but a quick prod with the Hardware Driver tool soon had it working.
Step-son had a few problems with an Alienware laptop with dual graphics cards, but that is now sorted.
Has the windows kernel not been updated in that time?
@Robert Re: Man overboard.
At least you know exactly where to look for the body.
Is this DanPaul.co.uk ???
You're full of shit.
@ Dan Paul Re: Win7 instead of XP??
But Dan, the article is about XP.
And how long did W7 take to update to latest revisions and reboot umpteen times?
Last one I did about a month ago took about three hours of updates, and four or five reboots. And user intervention to agree to some MS license BS. .Net I think...
Mint install to same PC took under an hour including all updates and ONE reboot to load the latest kernel. And it was usable whilst it was doing it.
Re: makes Judge Dred look almost desirable
From my knowledge of Scandinavians, (I am Godfather to a Norwegian), lots of them not only home brew, but home distil as well!
Re: email still works (thankfully)
Try setting up email forwarding to a gmail account, then tell me it works.
I raised this with their support team almost a year ago, and they said it will be fixed "soon"...
Who are Buzz and Zurg?
Inquiring minds, and all that...
Splicing in a new NSA feed?
If we ask nicely...
Do you think they would leave him up there?
Re: More than 100W
So, charge your phone, and stomp all over every wi-fi network in a half mile radius.
I refer the Honourable gentleman to my earlier reply...
And don't call me Dave.
Re: Too late for another?
Balloon / Ballocket
That looks ominously like something that needed help from International Rescue back when I was a nipper.
Thunderbirds are go!
OI! I resemble that remark. :o)
My current Volvo was made in Belgium, much to the amusement of my best mate.
Lovely cars for the more mature commie subversive bastard. :o)
@Charlie re: icons currently disabled.
Reg has hidden them behind the not obvious enough "Add an icon" label, above the Title box.
The new work experience web monkey is probably enamoured with the VS12 grey on grey look.
And FFS Reg, pleeease put the icons back on the left where they belong.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
No great surprise...
I think it's good that he has been acquitted of the most serious charge, but the length of the sentence he gets for the other "offences" will hopefully not be anywhere near the maximum permitted.
On a separate note, I don't think that sighting people up from your circling helicopter, then pressing the "kill the terrorists" button, can by any stretch of the imagination be called accidental!
Justice? We've heard of it.
But don't expect us totally apathetic Brits to get off our lazy arses to back you up.
We love being abused by capitalists too much.
What it would take to wake us up. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
P.S. elReg! Put the icons back on the other side! It just looks wrong!
Re: fuck streaming
I refer the honourable gentleman to http://thepiratebay.is
Other Bit-torrent sites are available.
Can't be arsed to check...
But is the bootloader locked on this thing? Could make a nice little XBMC stick.
I'll stick to my Raspberry Pis for now.
Reverse psychology. Works every time! ;o)
I was expecting "The chicken song", so not as bad as it could have been.
I've still got the tune stuck though.
Oh, and well done one and all!
#40,000 in the queue for the demo...
Could be a long wait.
When you've sobered up, read what Mr. Underpants wrote above, then do what he suggests.
My turn. :) >>>>>>>>>>>>
P.S. Can I come off the naughty step now please?
I promise to try not to troll Andrew again! :o)
Happy memories. :o)
Far too dangerous... Encrypted mesh networks...
What's to stop the terror paedo hoodies from using it for nefarious purpoises?
The security services wouldn't be able to listen in unimpeded.
Mrs. May wouldn't sleep for worrying.
I'm stealing that one.
Cheers Trev! ;o)
Re: Nice one all - a very exciting day
She was rushed to hospital to have her finger removed from her left eye! ;o)
Well done all.
Have a pint chaps! And a glass of sauvignon blanc "for the ladies".
Re: Oh the irony
it's best to assume that your every move, action and bodily function will be analysed for the greater glory of the PRC.....
As opposed to the NSA or GCHQ?
Just encrypt everything. Always!
Re: BlackBerry nixes BlackBerry 10 on PlayBooks
I was looking forward to getting BB10 on my Playbook, but as I only paid £100 for a 64 gig model, and it's still a nice piece of kit, I'll give it a "meh".
Re: don't forget to grease the locking pin
A foolproof switch is easily made with two drawing pins pressed into either jaw of a sprung wooden clothes peg. Strip of credit card for insulator / firing pin.
Probably less than 10g total weight. 9v battery for back up power, say another 40g. Sorted.
Mine's a pint. Cheers.
Re: Not work! - Firmware hacks
Looks like if it's not on XDAdevs then you're S.O.L. So roll up your sleeves and dive right on in...
Or buy a new phone! ;o)
Re: Try Co-op 99
I too was raised on Co-Op 99 loose leaf tea, and my dear old Mum still uses it. Yummy stuff.
Nowadays, my personal preference is Tetley, with Taylor's YT a close second. The water down here in the far south east is as hard as diamonds, but I didn't like the taste of their "Hard water" stuff. The YT Gold Rwandan was quite nice, but not often spotted in the wild, at least not round these 'ere parts...
Should I move back to Yorkshire, or Rwanda?
Pinkers all the way for me. :o}
Beer is for wussies.
Go on then.
Milk, no sugar. Ta.
I call Godwyn!
Sorry Daniel B. Go to the back of the class and face the wall.
Closest icon to a pointy hat... No D.
+1 for "nut huggers"
Well played Sir!
Have a thumb.
P.S. I shall be pinching that one. ;o)
In your dreams, son. Only in your dreams.
Sniffing the air...
The usual corporate shenanigans.
As ye sow, so shall ye reap. (Tax free)
@Matt Bryant re: Close miss...
Yeah, those hot air balloonists really pull some amazing high speed stunts don't they? You never know where they're gonna be in ten seconds time.
Grrr... It really makes me mad.
How about they make their own software a little more"standards compliant", and then perhaps we wouldn't have these sort of situations?
What's that you say? Lock in. Never heard of it. Now hand over your cash every month, like a good sheep.
