Fifa 14

You mention that the latest version of Fifa 14 is one of those games that will be available on the current and next generation consoles, but what's funny is that there will be a PS2 version as well. That's a mere thirteen years after the console was first released!

Robin Hood Tax

" the Robin Hood Tax - which will curb the excessive trading once and for all."

I thought the idea of the RHT wasn't so much to curb excessive trading, but rather to provide a fund to pay for the banking bail outs, both the current one and any future ones?

Re: I love steam

"downloading your entire steam library after something goes horribly pear shaped with the machine... not cool! although not awful if you have a decent speed you can leave it over night for the most part, unless you have one of those really annoying data cap things by your isp, admittedly I have only need to do this once so far, but still a pain."

Did you know that you can backup Steam games so that you don't have to keep downloading them? It's not 100% effective as sometimes Steam doesn't recognize the back up and tries to download it again, but it usually works.

Re: I say screw-em. I don't listen to online radio anyway.

"Does anyone know how much Clearchannel pays to play music over local airwave radio stations?"

US radio stations don't have to pay record companies/artists for the privileged of promoting their records like they do in the UK.

The scenes with the chopper lassoing the Cessna and landing one on the tanker were in Licence to Kill not The Living Daylights. The mistake is understandable though as the film is pretty forgettable, as the Gladys Knight theme tune is just about the only decent thing about it.

Great. I wonder which web pages will stop working with this version? Using Opera is like having a child that you love dearly, but you still have to admit that it can be an annoying brat at times.

It's not just about the wages/hours

But after doing your 12 hour shifts did you then have to go to a cramped dorm with eight people in it, or to a nice dwelling with family/friends where you had your own private space?

Funnily enough there was a Star Trek: TNG episode called Force Of Nature which was about this theory, so I wonder if rather than having "re-examined the maths of the Alcubierre drive" they really just watched a DVD box set of the show while they were stoned?

What's DRM?

Do all of those who keep commenting about how they prefer CDs because it doesn't have DRM still think it's 2005 and not 2011? None of the legal download stores that I have been using for years (Amazon, Play and others) have DRM in their music downloads.

Linux Mint

If you want a non-geek friendly version of Linux then try Mint. I was a Linux skeptic until I tried it and I have installed it on a 4 year old Toshiba laptop and an Athlon 3200 based desktop without any driver or setup problems. It runs DVDs,mp3s, CDs and video files out of the box without the user having to fiddle with configuration files.
