On Dolphin HD and stock. Not often mind, mainly while checking out Gizmodo.com.au's mobile site where I just need to find where the link actually is, then it works fine when it realises there's nothing there.
Really interested in this one, especially with word Plants Vs. Zombies is making its way to Android.
Maybe they should just give up on the PS3. Nintendo have given away their plans, maybe it's time for Sony to throw the baby out with the bath water and put on some sex tunes. It would certainly save them much more embarrassment and then the hackers can have their PS3s back.
I probably have more Wii games than any other console, but I've certainly given my other consoles more love. Traded in most of my PS3 games and I haven't bought any news ones due to my Sony embargo, the Xbox would get more use if my Samsung panel wasn't smashed by a housemate and my temp TV is a tiny cheap thing with only one HDMI port.
I blame...
-the gimmicky controllers. If I could just use a PS3/Xbox controller, I'd probably getting those last few Mario Kart wins. Plugging a "classic controller" into a Wiimote doesn't count.
-resetting the resolution for whomever's TV I happen to be stealing at the time. Set up time is so exhausting(ish) that I don't even offer. HDMI fixes this.
-Be original again. I appreciate the Wii is the better over GameCube, and happily supports its games to boot. But beef the console a bit. Please. Your first party titles rock, but that multi-console port is going to look mighty embarrassing and 3rd party titles have less to work with to really give you neat exclusives.
So, paying for a license on an offline item that can be affected by online discourse has led to the offline item being unusable. I'd get a refund and then some.
Furthermore, if they don't want people to pirate their goods, why treat the average consumer as a registered sex offender. Stuck on their list, can only do what they say.
If I buy a device, then I should be able to do with it what I wish (firmware-wise and legitimate homebrew, at least). That said, Nintendo can block me from their online store and/or online gaming, but they will lose revenue stream doing that. That said, this is nowhere near as bad as the PS3 debacle, which had major features stripped in the name of security. At least you know where you stand on a new Nintendo console from the start.
I'm sitting on 3.55 unmodified myself, I have a small collection of games (10 or so) and have purchased 4 from the online store, including 3 I had on my old PSX years back. I'm sticking on 3.55 because then I can jailbreak if I want more options with how I use my console. While I'm on 3.55 I will not be able to purchase anything and if I jailbreak, I may not be able to run anything legit released from this time onwards. Sony's losing here because they want to lock everything up and have made a good start on it on 3.56. I get banning cheaters and hackers from online gaming, but they can not stop the homebrew community who have their keys. And besides, what hurts them if someone's running some obscure emulator, or messing with XBMC or whatever alongside their legitimate purchases?
From my point of view (and not necessarily yours, I get that), it's lose-lose. It certainly doesn't make me want to invest in Sony gear in future.
While they're banning people who make legitimate copies of their games just to play off of an internal drive, or just want Linux or want extra functionality that Sony denies (How long has it been since a REAL cheat device?), that's people not buying off of their overpriced online store, purveying original and rehashed content. I can understand getting cheaters from online games and people playing stolen content (DLCs, etc.), but banning everyone effectively forces them to go purely illegal. They already lost, they can't stop the tides, the least they can do is accept it, let the PS3 be a gaming, home entertainment AND hobbyist console and just do a better job next time.
Why doesn't Apple make new iPhones for different regions? Maybe add a qwerty keyboard for those who need one. Micro USB so that it can be charged with a standard charger. As a Micro SD slot for expansion. And of course, maybe tone down their grips on the app store so people can have some more variety in what they download.
I think that would be ace.
It's not Sony either. Removed Linux support, making us pay extra for features others take for granted, and let's not forget the Sony BMG DRM scandal. Don't get me wrong, I like my PS3, but I haven't been able to justify even one more dollar on the console since paying for games that I bought years ago on the PSX. Seems the only one that's not actively hurting people is the one that's lagging behind in features: Nintendo.
Funny, all I can remember is this http://www.reghardware.com/2008/03/28/nvidia_vista_drivers/
Granted my first proper ATi card was an X600 or something or rather, but since I haven't had any problems to speak of. I haven't been a fan of nVidia since they bought up PhysX and denied competitors the ability to share in the technology and those few nVidia RAID devices I saw fail on a number of Acer machines on display at work. That could just be Acer though.
Even as a very former user, I forget about them until they appear in the news about how bad they're doing. Their previous marketing strategies were fairly pervasive and seemingly quickly made them irrelevant. It'll be interesting to see if any other companies who tried the same strategy is still around. That is, if anyone remembers them.

And our Prime Minister stands behind Conroy, very likely because she doesn't understand the technology either. There's word there might be change after the election, as the last cabinet reshuffle was to fill the empty positions by Gillard, but I just can't vote for them based on that. And anything but the Liberal-National coalition, they're just as bad, if not worse.
