its all over facebook as well
Morons putting pictures of ordinary spiders and proclaiming the end of the world. One chap moved his entire family out, and into a hotel. Turns out they were house spiders.....
And another reason why nuclear should be used.
I think the problem would be that robots wouldnt be able, even with cameras and controllers back on earth, to make habitats without people being there to ensure saftey and sustainablity. There is only so much info you can get from a TV screen.
Re: Google arnt stealing my data...
Dont worry i know exactly what i give up to use google and there spiders web of services. And i think its worth it. Ads dont bother me, profiling dosent bother me, looking at my emails for keywords dosent bother me, i dont care if they know where i live and what adult entertainment i enjoy or what i eat for supper. I understand why it would for some people, and as soon as it bothers me, i will give them the heave ho, no matter how painful. But googles "free" services are among the best in the business, and suit me perfectly.
Google arnt stealing my data...
Im giving it to them willingly. In return they give the best internet search engine, a very good mobile OS, a great browser, and a tremendous cloud storage solution. Plus as a bonus they allow me to buy amazingly specced mobile phones, and tablets for very cheap prices.
THe market for these are tiny....
Not many people wear watches, but of those that do how many are geeky enough to want a smartwatch? Not many id wager.
As someone mentioned earlier, smart watches need a killer app. Without it the market is limited to geeky 60+ year olds......
Re: Microsoft account needed for Facebook? ??
Because its microsoft.
THe same people that still wont allow you to drag and drop onto the task bar, even tho we've been trying to do it for years...
Re: Robots of renown
"Anyway, what about Huey Dewey and Louie in Silent Running?
Does the robotic bomb in Dark Star count?"
no, no, no, and no as they arnt tv based.
T-bob from Mask would. As would the Transformers, Gobots, and the little red dude from jayce and the wheeled warriors
Rise of the machines....
A.I. with robots will happen, sooner rather than later. Having a sentiant and inteligent machine is the ultimate User Interface. As a kid i never understood why C3PO would have been proggramed to have a personality, but now i realise its to make telling it what to do easier. Instead of having to click an icon, and programmme a set of actions, you could simply tell it what you want.
I dont think however that we have anthing to worry about machines rising up, its simply a great plot device. As the robotic A.I.s creators we can ensure they enjoy what ever job they have, and would never consider anything else.
Re: selfies are frickin OLD.
show them the sony erricson phones, from 15 years ago, that had a small mirror next to the camera, so you could see yourself taking selfies. that should blow there tiny minds!
Re: I'm not having any issues
i find thier phones cheaply built. But also expensive. I think there rise to prominance was a combination of the galaxy s2, which for the time, was amazing and keenly prised and there sponsership of chealski football club.
There TV's are pretty damn good however.
the word "jamp" added to the dictionary. I cant see any reason why it isnt a word. It works perfectly well.
Out of 1 million units sold, there will of course be a few thousand that brake. This isnt really news.
Re: Indeed, Sorry But…
No it cant. No PC is going to be able to replace a top end amp. Yes freeview is easy. A blu ray player is easy to fit. But you need that big black box to get the best from DTS HD.
im stunned that MS dont already own them. The kinect seems rather important to the xbone.
Re: Perhaps some reclassification required
if we are going to only eat dumb animals say goodbye to bacon sandwiches.
Re: At some point, in the not too distant future
+ a million. I want to pay but they won't take my money
Re: Usual Reg crap journalism
as far as im aware, he also cant play single player games either. thats the reason for the hooting
Re: This news has cheered me up this evening
I concur. I definitly wouldnt sell my virtually worthless app for 10% of 3 billion. no sirree bob.
it only does everything
Is the main reason that i love my PS3. Its my one stop shop for media playback, and games. Its the beating heart of my living room. And until the news broke that the ps4 cant do the media stuff, i was set to buy one. Not now tho. Ill stick with the ps3.
Re: Are they going to change the name in Europe?
Re: "single price discount retailer"
ive noticed that too. I used to think there milk was great value, but its 1.3 litres, rather than 2. not so good value.
Re: Why on earth did he even try to use it?
+1. He could have sold it for thousands.
Re: Agree, good
oh i agree too, i always switch off my phone and remove my watch when i enter a vehicle. Infact i remove my trousers too, dont need them while driving....
that would kill the idea that BB is secure in about the time it takes zuck to say bitch
I thought this was the reg? Why wouldnt you want a wearable heads-up display, connected to the vast knowledge of the web? Id have one implanted into my eye if i could. I thought this was a site for IT geeks and dreamers. Instead some of you are moaning about not having your picture taken, like shy tweens, or suspicous tribesmen. What is wrong with you?
software is great
i played with the q5 and apart from the rather cheapy biuld, and the ludicrous pricxe i really liked it. But knew at that point, that i and quite probably noone else would ever buy one.
BB were about 3 or 4 years too late.
Re: great news
i knew it was spely wrong, but i couldnt be arsed to cheeck it. life is too short
I recently bought a new ecig that uses micro USB, and not having to carry around an extra charger is a relief. Micro USB is ubiqous now, you can find one almost anywhere.
the most intresting question remains...
Did we breed with them to the point of extiction or did we eat them........
what to do with a giant fish?
bring me 400 potatoes, and a truck of salt. lets get frying
The no campaign is grasping at straws here
shows how terrifiied they are of us leaving the UK.
One thing that Salmond needs to get across is that a vote for independance isnt nescesarly a vote for the SNP or him. Once we are independent you could still vote tory if you so choose.
all over this
VR spacecraft combat? fuck yeah!
they are annoying but
id rather those than the overly friendly moronic robots you get serving. "sorry for making you wait" "do you need help to pack your bags" "any plans for the weekend?" then they try to hand you a plastic chip to help decide which of 3 stupid charties should get that months tax deductable gift. dogs? children? lesbian midgets with dyslexia?
I truly hated when they started trying to give lectures on why i shouldnt be using the free plastic bags as it was bad for the evironment, my responce that the earth had reveresed poles at least 3 times in its history, had gone thro numerous ice ages, survived massive meteor and volcanic disruptions and still stood, was met with a blank vacant stare. bah!
And it begins again.
Ive looked out my book of gamer cliches. Ive got my RROD tshirt washed and pressed. Im preparing to ask where the ingame XMB is. Ive read up on DDR3 and DDR5 memory, and my knowledge of DVD vs Blu ray drive speeds is upto date.
Im ready. Bring it!
Someone is trying to sue somone for copying the order of music on a CD? That 1st someone needs to find a new lawyer
Blame the dead guy.....nice
Whats the big deal with this? Its just a big database.
I suspect the head dudes idea that it isnt just about IT says a lot tho. As it is just IT; its just a big excel spreadsheet with a pretty GUI.
Re: 3 Questions, obvious answer, please connect the dots.
ting ting ting, we have a winner
Its the 1st thing i thought of too. HD 3d chat would be very cool. But i dont the infrastructure is anywhere near that level yet. Maybe somone in south korea could 3d chat with someone else in south korea.
My fav copy cat product is the Lidl produced Titan. Its a Mars bar copy. Genius
why? Becuase they are adding TV as a bonus, and not as the main reason to have a ps4? Unlike certain other flip flop console makers
"For fans, it's over here. ®"
I had to check what that link was for. I was slightly disapointed when i found out. Cowards...
why? whats the point? who is really that scared that someone will steal there iphone, break/hack the password and steal all the photos of there cat?
its not even a cool feature.
CPU's have come a long way
why didnt they get intel to make them a low heat version of x86 and stick it in the RT? It would have given them full compatability. They had a real opertunity to make windows compatable over tablets and phones and desk tops but blew it by going ARM.
They were changing windows anyway, they should have gone the whole hog, and ensured that win 8 could work on high powered stuff, and the above imiganairy intel chip. they would have cleared up.
and blackberry become software only. lets ask atari how that went for them
love DAB in my car
Bought a 2nd hand vectra that had a rather great extras pack installed, and DAB was one of the bonuses. I really miss it in other cars now. Planet rock, team rock, and god are all firm favourites of mine. from now on if i buy a new car, it will have DAB
Re: Logitech Revue
streuth! so you dont belive your "friend"? well they are all criminals and murderers.
The wierd thing is that no one is fighting. Its either cast iron, or so complex it would have both parties in court for decades.
I wish someone would fight it tho. Apart from barnes and noble, they dont count....
