So, transfer them onto your computer? I have to say with a 64GB phone the amount of people who would need to add storage to that must be incredibly niche.

I would be shocked if, right now, there isn't a room full of people at Nokia working on an Android interface.

Not sarcastic.. I'd just be very suprised if sales didn't ramp up. As a former iPhone owner and current Android user, WP8 is the first MS effort I have any interest in. I can only assume I'm not alone in feeling that way.
He's probably right though
A huge amount of average punters probably have no clue about when the phones will be released, or the differences between Nokia, HTC and Samsung efforts. Many people (like myself) will be in contract for a few more months so this is irrelevant to them. Storm in a teacup if you ask me - the vocal minority getting outraged about having to wait an extra week for a new phone.
The buzz around Windows Phone 8 is far greater than anything MS have seen before, and I think that will translate into some quite healthy sales over the next 12 months. It's not that hard to see things "ramping up" considering the low sales of WP7 devices, and the apparent enthusiasm for WP8.

I expect when they filmed the ad, there wasn't a working prototype of an actual Lumia 920, but they should have put the disclaimer there at least. Still, all publicity is good publicity, if it creates an interest in the product and they can back up their claims with real footage. Personally, this wouldn't affect my decision to purchase or not - I'm seriously thinking about getting one. Though I do wish they'd put that feature in the 820.

I don't get why anyone would pay for this service - it's like paying money to acknowledge that you're too disorganised to put the tunes you might want to hear onto the device from the computer. Or am I missing something?
Erm, because I was paraphrasing the article? If you read my original post, you'll see that I was saying I do like them..

The funny thing is, I moved over to Android a few months ago for all these reasons, and yet I still feel like I have an iPhone shaped hole in my life.

ODMs are upset?

Erm, isn't Android open source, i.e. free for these ODM licensees to use? They're getting something for nothing, probably saving a substantial amount of money by avoiding having to develop their own proprietry OS, or licensing Windows Mobile.
What right do they have to be upset that Google are making their own branded phone? Surely that's what a free market is all about?
