Hopefully they go back for a proper look.
Not much of a backtrack, go and dig it up.

These are augmented reality glasses. Just show the keyboard via the existing display facilities in such a way that it appears where your hand is. Less power required, less weight, less risk of annoying everyone if the hand recognition gets confused and doesn't shut off the laser when walking around.
What I'd like to see for a small second monitor is not a dedicated device. Just put a hdmi or dvi input on a tablet so it can be used as a second monitor for a desktop/laptop (or connected to other devices such as cameras). Of course consumers will like only buying one 7" screen more than manufacturers will like only selling one 7" screen.
Not just cheaper things outsell more expensive things, but also:
Newer less widely owned already things outsell thing more people own already and are happy to only replace when it breaks.
or
Feasible to have one per person things outsell quite likely to be shared by a family thing.
I used to let my photo sharing service (fotki) double as my offsite photo backup. Then one day they tried to change their terms and conditions so that unlimited storage of originals was no longer included and asked for more money or the originals would be removed leaving only the down-sized versions.
I refused to give in to their blackmail and instead spent the money on a third 2tb hard disk and external enclosure, which is now locked in my desk at work. Its actually more convinient too, I can go and fetch the disk from work faster than I can shift that much data over my internet connection.
The oddest case of this I came across occurred with an Amstrad PC 1512 running Digger. The actual game music could be picked up by a radio tunned to just below Radio 1's FM frequency.
I'm not sure if this was a deliberate feature of the game that worked with any PC or just a peculiar interaction with the Amstrad's hardware. It didn't seem to be a general occurrence with the 1512, I never managed to do the same with other games.
I'm not keen on TIFKAM, but could be tempted by a surface pro if the secure boot thing can be disabled and an alternative OS installed. Personally I'd probably go for Win 7 (or maybe 8+Classic Shell if thats not an option), other may prefer Linux. As for Apple comparisons, that'll get a lot more interesting/amusing (depending on your opinion of Apple) if anyone can work out how to Hackintosh it and install OS/X.
Jump into witchspace (usually deliberately, ALT+W before a jump broke the hyperdrive on the PC version).
Engage cloak and fly past thargoids.
All much easier once their formation breaks up and they're not all firing at some.
The cloaking device also made picking up the small Thargoid ships much easier.
Made it to Elite with all missions completed twice. Once for the first CGA PC version, then again for the Elite+ remake with VGA graphics and more missions.
There is still at least one direction left to go : diamond microchips. The idea has been around a long time, but hasn't yet caught on (presumably due to cost and volume considerations - but that just needs the right synthetic diamond manufacturing process to solve). Diamond chips should be able to handle much higher temperatures - which means we can go back to the GHz race. Probably more useful for desktop than mobile though, since power consumption is likely to be an issue if not plugged into the wall.
