I'm getting fed up with Firefox and their constant crying. All because I change my default search engine in Firefox doesn't mean I want it changed in Windows \ Cortana.
Luckily there's a new option in Firefox to disable this feature, just uncheck "Use this search engine for searches from Windows" in settings.
Nobody will be using Firefox anymore anyway because according Firefox users are so stupid that two clicks instead of one is too difficult to make it the default browser.
Sorry but once edge has plugin support, Firefox will be put into storage.
Yup. The little work required that the reg is referring to must be having to type internet explorer in the search box and click on it.
Of course installing Firefox is out of the question as it now requires two clicks to make it default instead of one. According to Firefox it's too difficult for users to click twice instead of once.
Google is shaking in their boots, they fear Windows Phone.
Re: Hidden Agenda or no Agenda
Perhaps it works with outlook.com too?
Ramping up to build my next Windows Phone I see.
Spotify, Pandora, and Xbox\Groove Music all have great apps for Windows Phone. Why would I choose crappy Apple music and and be forced onto an iphone? No thanks.
You people clinging to your old start menu are probably the same ones hanging on to other old crap because you're too afraid of change, can't stand change, complain when something changes, and won't spend more than 5 minutes trying something new.
Re: Is it accurate to describe it as a zero-day exploit?
Don't you mean plus-fourteen-day exploit? minus means they still have 14 days before it becomes a zero day which is incorrect as it's already being exploited.
I think you're missing the point. The $379 printer is the same as the $70 printer because the $70 printer is over charging you for ink. If you print a lot as business do, you stand to save thousands of dollars over the life of the printer. Epson will make a few more bucks up front and you'll save a few bucks in the long run.
Re: There goes the "objectivity" of CNET.
There goes all the nice things they were saying about Windows 10. Who reads that garbage anyway when we have el reg?
There's too many variables in the real world. Once they are released into the wild, they'll become self crashing cars. One of these days, these idiots will give up and build a track. An invisible track under the road would be sufficient.
Google and Apple are in bed with the democrats who run the IRS so of course the IRS won't be targeting them. At least someone is fighting back.
Switched to outlook.com long ago. twas a nice try tho.
I don't think grandma will notice.
Exactly. I don't think Dell even has any with those chips. In addition, both Dell and HP do not have any newer generation servers with AMD chips. That means you have to switch to intel or use older g tech.
It looks a lot like Windows XP.
They can easily build this stuff. That's not the point. These apps are already hugely popular with lots of users. They are buying the user base more than anything.
lol since when does google care?
People seem to be forgetting that Google sat on a bug for years which consumed up to 20% more energy and only decided to fix it after it made headlines in the news.
Re: Please, Please, pretty please....
Well it's for sale so who would you rather have your travel data, facebook, google, apple, or microsoft?
I've stopped shopping at best buy for obvious reasons. I wouldn't mind if they just went away.
Apple sounds like a real nice company...
Re: Compared to the G3?
If it runs Windows Phone 10 then it's another clear upgrade.
got what they deserve
That's what Bank of America deserves for canceling their Windows Phone app. Glad I moved on to Ally and Wells Fargo banks. Life's much better now.
If Google didn't have a malware problem then they wouldn't need to scan your device once a week. Basically they do have a malware problem and that's why they scan once a week.
All the Dell and HP servers I've connected to use Java as well as KVMs. Firefox always worked best for this anyway...
Where did anyone say it can't be removed?
Re: It is all about the case
Windows Lumia phones don't bend. Probably would of busted their machine instead.
Windows phone already has the option to require a pin for in app purchases.
The only thing good about cisco is meraki. They've already started jacking up meraki's prices lets hope they don't totally destroy them.
Couldn't agree more. Also, Why the F*** do I need a google+ account to leave a review on an android app? That's just one of the reasons I dropped android and couldn't be happier.
1. No contracts
2. Phone cost separated from plan
3. WiFi Calling
4. Free International data and voice just 20cents
I'm planning to switch our entire company over from crappy AT&P ©
Firefox is my go to browser but this phone home crap pisses me off. FU Firefox
I've been to Thailand several times and it seems like they have more freedom than USA. Maybe you're getting monarchy confused with government. PM is not monarchy.
The new app works great. Just got done pinning a channel to my start screen (try not to be jealous android users).
WP8 already had a couple really good youtube apps, MetroTube and MyTube. The free option by Microsoft is great though.
My Nokia Lumia 920 is amazing and that's saying a lot since I was previously an android fan. I don't think it would of made much difference if they relased an android 920. It would be like the Samsung ativ s windows phone, most people I talk to have never heard of it or seen it.
Intel you are totally stupid... You forgot about T-Mobile.
Re: "few who can do basic maths"
Yeah. People are clueless. I bought a lumia 920 unlocked for 680 and and signed up with tmobile no contract plan here in the US. When I tell people, they think I'm nuts. But then I ask how much they paid for their phone and how much they pay a month and I'm saving around $800 in a two year period. Not bad at all.
Contracts are awful, it locks people in, takes away their freedom to leave, and they end up spending more in the long run. It only looks good on the surface.
Nokia and HTC were smart enough to design new phones specifically for WP8. Most people don't care for a galaxy s III with windows installed. There were some users that may have bought your s III with Windows but you failed to release it here in USA. How do you expect to sell any when we can't buy it?
Concrapulations, my sock could have supported life as well before they went through the spin cycle. We wasted decades on the space station and rovers we should have a Hotel and McDonald's on mars by now.
They actually thought it was a good idea to take the Windows out of Windows?
Are they making FF for Windows Phone 8? Does WP8 work like android or does it have the same issue as ios?
I'm lucky enough to have both a nexus 4 and a Lumia 920. I much prefer the 920, even though the OS is new, it seems more polished and feels more professional. Android seems like a kids toy, no wonder it's so cheap.
I agree. Why would they host their services on Amazon when there are plenty of other companies they could work with.
Why are we wasting time looking for signs of life or mars? Just send some humans and be done with it.
Re: EU should look into others
Ah but Apple does have a monopoly in tablets where the hell is the ipad browser choice screen? This is all such BS. People already have a choice on Windows, they can install what ever browser they want. How hard is it really.
Doom and Gloom
Nobody is going to buy a PC with out the start button.
Store them in MS Skydrive, you can share the folder with your family members. Then the pics will be on your computer, skydrive, and the user's computers that you shared it with. Don't forget to make a backup.
They're waiting for Windows phone 8 obviously.
On Windows 7, I have icons, folders and widgets. On Android I have icons, folders, and widgets. On WP8 all I get is tiles? I guess I'll stick with android so I can continue my windows 7 experience.
