argrh, nooo say it isnt so! My parents have sky and their current ADSL2+ line syncs lower than their old Tiscali ADSL1 line ever did (they got 8mbit, now sync at 7.5) and the actual throughput is normally about 2 when it works at all.

My only hope I that Be offer a FTTC package by the time I'm finally upgraded so I never have to deal with BT directly ever again.

i bought an ipad for one reason, the 4:3 screen. if android tablet makers stopped insisting the only fcuking thing anyone wants one for is to watch video and making them all widescreen then maybe they might actually sell one or two!!!!

I am a big android fan and i want a tablet but, honeycomb is a bit poo. worse still thats not the real problem, the problem is i want to used the device in portrait and both honeycomb and manufacturers dont like that. they seem dead set on insisting the only F ing thing you could want to is watch video and so you must use it in landscape and have a 16:9 screen
i want a 10 inch tablet but a 4:3 one.

its was just the old sony ereaders that had the coating (i have one) and yeah its not great. the new ones however dont have this and are exactly as good as the kindle ones but with touch (yeah i have both)
in comparison the kindle is a pile of cack to use compared with the sony,

now i know apple have been skimpy in recent years on the DAC's in new ipods but for to love of god you dont have to use crappy low bit rate stuff on them, they will support ALAC lossless files.

the way i see it ms has just bought nokia, i can only assume the billion went straight to whatever halfwit board members brought in elop. not that i ever liked nokia phones but it will be a shame to see them go.

remake the P990i
i wish they would remake the P990i but with more up to date internals, UIQ or android would do lovely on it but so long as there is not all this "social media" carp on it. to get to the top one assumes it takes a hell of a lot of long days, staying in the office any time there is a need and kissing much ass. women strangely are more likely to prioritise things other than their job as being the most important thing in their life. this does include having babies, often once produced women like to see their kids in a way that some men just dont. kid is off school sick? odds are the mother is the one that takes the day off.
oh and men get fcuk all paternity leave so when men are as able as women to stay at home and raise the kids as women are only then are the number of women at the top going to equalise with men.

for the price its coming in at id really expect there to be at least a cover over the camera lens and is it me or does it not have a flash on there either? certainly not a decent one. why the hell no keyboard either. rumours dont seem sure if its android 2.0 or 1.6.

i dont get it
no 3G and no wi fi either, just what are you meant to do with it other than text or call people? so why bother giving it a smart phone os and a big screen?

have you ever had to get a specialist recommended text? especially ones that are recommended texts across the country for a very narrow subject. oh no its out of print you say, publisher will take orders for more and print when it has enough orders sitting. you need it by next week you say even if that means buying a 20 year old 2nd hand copy for 5 times its new print cost.
ive had to order books from all over the world to get them (including australia) for books that are published in the same city i live in because they are to stupid to print them in advance of students needing them.
i say if publishers dont give a crap about the books and are not printing them they should become public domain and google can show them fro free if they like, better yet they loose copyright and then project gutenberg should get a copy
