I have had all of these problems on PS3.

I would like a refund for my call of duty and here is why.

1. me and my bro both play it, i have a PS3/HD TV, HDMI cable'd up running at its best resolution with an ethernet cable not wireless.

My brother has the same TV but uses an Xbox 360 HDMI'd up.

Their is a huge very noticeable difference in the graphics between the PS3 and Xbox 360! I cant play the groundwar (the multiplayer option with the most amount of players) option because the gameplay becomes so choppy. On the 360 he doesnt have this problem, and no theirs nothing wrong with my settings on PS3.

2 Server disconection/host migrations happens so much i sometimes cant complete contracts because i havnt actually got to the end of a match in a span of 1 hour...

3. sometimes when connecting to a server it will just freeze once its loaded. you cant press any buttons to unfreeze the console. the only thing u can do is press the PS button and click "quit game" which forces the PS3 to RESTART as it cant exit from COD.

4. i have also had it crash a few times during gameplay which was also anoying.

5. joining games with your friends is also anoying as it doesnt always work and sometimes when u are in a party of 4 people 1 of them wont be connected to the server... forcing us all to leave and start again...

I would say it is fit for sale though but activation need to fix the bugs faster they have failed miserably at this, but i also would say if people would like a refund they should be able to get one.

Ok i can see that when buying a laptop it maybe a little annoying as its pretty hard to get hold of a laptop without windows installed.

My confusion though lies with desktops. i just don't understand the logic behind a person who is savvy enuff to install other OS's. What i mean is why did they buy a "PC world"(or whatever?) desktop computer with the intent to put a different OS on it and try get a refund from Microsoft, when if they went online they could get a system without an OS?

Am i the only one who thinks its a really stupid way to go about things?

Well it wont b long for ssd/hdd to be a thing of the past.

if you visit the OCZ website and have a look at their SSD tech you will see what i mean. i like the idea of PCI SSD even though it would mean giving up a PCI slot for storage. the read write speeds are also awsome. their top of the range 2TB SSD which will set u back a hefty £7k is a bit pricy but if tech like this were to get cheaper why would anyone by a hybrid or HDD? it would also be nice for MOBO manufactures to incorp a solid state boot partition on their mobos, would make for an interesting future.

Now that apple has become more popular they are doing the same thing as microsoft did. releasing stuff that doesnt work. well thats what i have seen over the last few months. Iphone 4(Grip of Death) , ipad(overheats in a few hours and turns off) and now new phone OS that erm doesnt work properly....

for this i will use o2 to explain. cos i dont know the data charges for other phone companies but im asuming they will be similar.

with o2 the data charges are:

£3 per MB used in the EU.

and

£6 per MB used out of the EU.

photos taken can be anything upto 10mb possibly more, depending on what ress your camera is set to. and lets face it we would all want to take the most clearest, awsome picture to send as a postcard.

That HDD company's should down tools with disk techno and just look towards SSD's instead. if they could make SSD bigger and cheaper, why would anyone buy HDD? they are just plain noisy

firstly im not an apple fan, sorry but i just dont like mac's. i do have an itouch though. when i first herd roumors of the ipad i though nice! a tablet pc great! then i saw it had the itouch style interface and apps through itunes milarcky. i thought to myself its just a big itouch.... but theirs one thing that never dawned on me that made me chuckle when i read this... you NEED to connect it to a mac/pc with ITUNES! hahah so its not realy a tablet pc is it? its just a device. an exspecive divice that you need to falk out another $250+ on a laptop/pc to get working... if you dont already own one. im assuming the ipad with the built in 3G u can setup without a pc or am i wrong?

im not saying i dont like linux OS's or Apple, but microsoft rules the rust when it comes to OS..

all this browser choice thing is going to do is make my phone ring constant when idiots click on another browser, and then wonder's why their page doesnt display correctly..

my fav browser is firefox all the way and my opinion is if you dont like I.E. download another browser? its not hard. this program they have added also slows the loading screen of windows "great".

I.E. is better than all browsers though when it comes to businesses as it can be controlled by AD.

any of you nay sayers know of a browser you can restrict at logon?

where is the browser choice on MAC's and linux? cos i think i would like I.E. instead of that safari noncense.

in my eyes this is nothing new, just a mixture of 2 things allready on the market.

iphone + netbook = ipad

i for 1 will stick to a laptop mainly because it has a DVD/Blueray draw for when i want to watch movies on the move. i dont think the ipad can do that.... so it fails, its just a touchscreen apptastic netbook. "big itouch"

Win7 Problems i have had

I have been testing Win7 at work for the last few weeks.

Compaired to vista and XP it out proforms both.

the spec of the pc i was testing on was somet like:

P4-3ghz

512mb DDR Ram

7.2k HDD

Vista as you may have guessed didnt work well atall on that spec of pc.

XP ran fine and was fairly responsive, but with most of the service packs and winupdates now running on XP it was hiting the 512mb ram usage fairly easy.

but shockinly Win7 Ran better than XP.

most programs once installed loaded up faster than xp.

the only problems i have had with Win7 is actualy installing programs. i have run them and the computer seems to sit their like its doing nothing, ram and CPU usage seemed to be indicating that nothing was happening.

After about a min the installer would kick into life.

This problem was just unique to that computer, i then tryed Win7 on a much faster Rig with the same results.

i think microsoft should address this problem atleast befor releasing Win7.

But that said Win7 is definatle a winner proformance wise.

and yes i was a fan of vista. but that is only because i have a pc that is capable of running it well.

O2 dongle's

I did some research about a year ago into the pricing of these usb modems with O2 mobile internet. Not sure if the figures are the same today.

Usage pricing over the limit:

10p per MB

Using the dongle abroad, limits dont even apply.

its £6 per MB

So one 10MB e-mail will cost you around £60

Now with the firmware updates, 7.2meg BB you can go over the limit alot quicker :D
