At AC (comment dtd 15th February 2011 10:45 GMT) and TFW reply

AC, completely in agreement with TFW reply to your description of houshold practices at your place.

You 'got the wife' to give away her Apple player ! Great ! You must be a very convincing man,

how did you do this (I mean, just for the benefit of all of us) ?

How did she obtain such a devils tool in the first place ? You been away on business travel ?

Make sure that doesn't happen again, but, I guess you already took counter actions to prevent this. The good and caringg man you are.

Lastly, and not only on this occasion, to me you sometimes display a very patronizing kind of attitude towards co-contributors sharing their views to articles.

Give it a thought or two.

And, btw., since you already labeled other contributors as 'Idiot' feel free to repeat yourselves.

Best wishes anyway-

Google ices Android launches in China

SimpleUser

This is gonna be very intersting

to watch for more updates. Let's (just) assume GOOGLE did this in fact as an act of telling (China)

'That's as far as it goes', Human right stuff etc etc, they will bring their competitors into a role of either following or be seen as a (potential) taget for blame (from every human right watch organization), this move could be a very well thought out, clever marketing move . . .

Like - I'm the good one who cares, what about you (compettors)... ?

And, GOOGLE has so many legal issues at hand right now that a little deviation towards

human rights might just come handy in future talks about those legal battles coming up right now (eg with France, Germany, the EU).

So what ?

Sometimes it's time to learn the mechanics of how this all works together.

Assuming that 'iPod' is a registered Trademark - :-) - it's not (even) anywhere near rocket science to also assume that any product name coupled with it will have to be very, very carefully checked out by legal folks for appropriateness .

In case of doubt what I mean here, develope an app, say a spreadsheed, and

call it 'Like Microsoft - but better' and than wait for the hammer to hit you.

Kinda find it nice from Steve to reply, even the content I like. You know how it is, If you want to play with the big boys, you're better wide awake.

What a BS discussion!

Sorry all BUT I FAIL TO SEE THE RELEVANCE OF THE WHOLE THING!

First, to fire someone because of writing emails in capital letters - are we now addressing and judging the value of a human being by such trivialities ? Is that it ?? Good one, lower case, bad one CAPS ON ? Who the f*ck has the right to fire somebody for such a nonsense!

She should have received much more in compensation then those few bucks.

And, unless I totally and completely misunderstand (and interprete) some of the comments already made here, above, I would suggest to some of you guys to reassess your positions and values.

Outlook (finally) coming to the Mac

SimpleUser

Guys, I need your word of wisdom please

I've been converting from a MS Windows environment (MS Office/ Outlook etc) to Apple, using a very nice, powerful Macbook now. While I'm ok with freeware such as NeoOffice for the majority of my documents, spreadsheets etc, I'm looking for some SW enabling me to read my old Outlook created emails (*.pst files) - any advise ? Or, what about some SW translating those files into an, say Apple mail readable format.

Asking for your five cents, don't let me hange in there.

Thanks Guys (and Gals, one never knows).
