By that logic, the US should be the most just country in the world, having 1 lawyer to every 1.6 people in prison. New Brunswick must be a veritable police state compared with New York, having only 1/8th the number of lawyers per capita.

|I need this spelled out, there is only a point to blockchain if people who don't trust each other (or an intermediary) want to do business AND to get them to use blockchain they need to work together to agree on that? Surely if they're in the same room working on the problem, whoever assembled them can act as trusted intermediary?
No, or at least not in a way that would make you pay for it.
As far as I can tell (and I could be wrong) it's a way of packaging data so that it can be verified as uncompromised while allowing you to add records to it, a distributed database relying on good encryption and cross checking multiple sources. I haven't been able to think of any use for it that can't be done more easily another way either.
well, half the expected total, since the government are still hoping a withdrawal agreement will give another 18 months to recruit the remainder. Funding is there to expand the ports and airports customs areas. Why wouldn't the UK get these things sorted before declaring their exit?

Pretty soon the UK economy will be back to it's condition in the 1970's, with rocketing inflation, sterling in freefall and the IMF bailing it out, like the good old days!
Scottish Notes aren't legal tender, even in Scotland. Neither are NI notes. They're promissory notes and the banks hold the same value of Bank of England notes to meet those promises. The BoE prints million and hundred million pound notes to let them do that. English banks did print notes but a change in the law stopped new banks from doing it and the old ones merged or went out of business.
So Xiaomi are a tat-flinger while Apple are a fine purveyor of hand crafted ornamental devices? I'm not sure if your distress is because you think a Chinese brand is beneath you socially or because you're afraid the high end manufacturers will stop sending you kit to test if you don't disparage people from buying something cheaper.
I've got a laptop on either end of my travels - but there's a time at the start of a plane journey when they say laptops and large electronic devices must be stowed, phones and tablets may continue to be used provided they are in flight mode. That's when I take off the keyboard and watch Netflix. :-)

Why not draw the line at the nations who get to vote on their membership of the United Kingdom? If Scotland had voted to leave in IndyRef 1 it would all have left the UK. If Northern Ireland has a border poll then under the Belfast agreement they also go as a unit.
It will be an interesting example, I know 3rd country banks are required to have an EU Intermediate Holding Company to allow supervision above a certain size but I don't know how it would work with a non financial entity. I'll be surprised if they completely avoid EU taxes.
