O2 claims win in UK mobile broadband speed test

What 3G?

Despite living in a large town, 10 miles from the Capital City (of Scotland) there is no o2 3G signal here. So Orange, Vodafone and Three get top marks here and T Mobile and o2 should hang their heads in shame.

Solution

I have Comtrend 200mbps adaptors which have pass through sockets and best of all the ethernet port is on the top, so the adaptor can still be used with sockets close to the floor ;-)

WTF?

How much?

So for less than £78 more I could get a proper mobile laptop with a ULV Pentium processor, 13.3" screen and built in DVD-RW drive. So much for the small cheap computers netbooks were supposed to be.

Copilot is better (and cheaper)

Hmm apart from a few clunky menu options Copilot would seem to be the better option. It's much cheaper (£25.99 by memory), has lane assist for motorways, speed camera locations (with free updates for about 2 years), fuel prices and more.

Routing is fast and as accurate as the TomTom.

Untrusted Connection

Anyone with Firefox will have to get past the Untrusted Connection screen first - looks like someone at Be made a mess of the SSL cert.
