Not to mention that solitery confinement while it might not have done a lot for his mental stablity would probably have protected him from the other inmates (I reckon in a military prision he would been slighty less popular than a pedo in a normal prision). As others have pointed out anything that had happened to him at his own hands or the hands of other inmates it would always been spun as sanctioned (no matter how well the guards kept an eye out chances are the other inmates would have made their displeaure felt).

Actually I don't have a problem buying a kindle book at hardback (or there about) prices during the period that the book is only alvlible in hard back. As long as it drops to paperback prices (or about) when the paperback comes out.

But hell on the other hand I tend to buy baen ARCs of my fav baen writers which are more expensive than hardbacks (but i get to have the book before its out in even hardback). What used to really get my back up was crapy bindings on a hardback.

Honestly though the cross platfom kindle reader software I tend to think as "nice to have" If I ever need it.

It stacks up against trend software, but MSE kicks the shit out of mcafee. I know it protects against some malware that went through mcafee like it was not there <much of the scareware investations that made last year so much fun>.

I also recomend it to anybody that asks, its free and its pretty light on the machine resources. I view it in teh same vein as bundling a firewall with windows...A good thing.
