Its probably named after this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FP-45_Liberator
The 2 years it spent in secure lockup (untouched), he did not pack it in the first place, not even touching on the medical issues.
Not touching on the ammo charge only the pistol one. the main differnces between him and manning is one took resposiblity for the charges one tried to deny it all.
Also you will note I am not calling for the charges to be dissmissed against him, as per my first post in this thread, military regs are stricter and it was court martial. I don't thnk there are any pararells between him and manning apart from they both had/are going through court martials
Completly different TBH, having read the pdf of the court martial procedings for Sgt Nightingale who did plead guilty (with some pretty good extenuating circumstances it has to be said).
About the only thing both case would have in common is they are both court martials.
No pretty much stright option 1, trust was given and he abused it. To make it worse he volinteered to be part of the US Armed Forces, He took an oath. He broke that oath
Now through his own actions he is right in the shite.
Re: Is This The Daily Mail?
Basicly what sccorchio said, its not a civil trial. Solitery confiment probably savved him a lot oof abuse at the hands of other inmates TBH.
He would prrobably have been as popular as a child abuser in a civvie nick.
Re: Best argument against democracy
if only then i coiuld ank teh shit out of him online ;-)
Noothiingg in that article you list supports your point BTW, Most of the costs are apprently nothing to do with the phyisical book (source http://www.baen.com/library/prime_palaver.asp) I been reading ebooks longg before I ggot my kindle via baens online ebook store. the author gets his cut from what amazon pays the publisher. Not what I may or others pay amazon.
Hell buying my fav authors ebooks when its only out in hardback at hardback prices is something I am ok with, paying hardback prices for books that are not out in harback is step to far. I have also found a ccouple of authors via amazons self publish route. there is nothing stopping publishers selling ebooks directly in a number of formats (indeed baen have been doing this for about 10 years now, including kindle formated books, theres 6 formats that they will supply not including online HTML versions).
Re: Pffft - they're not REAL books.
its kind of hard to carry about 200 real books in your jacket pocket ;-)
He did...
Break the law, he did break his oaths. Militiary law is stricter than civil law. Not to mention that solitery confinement while it might not have done a lot for his mental stablity would probably have protected him from the other inmates (I reckon in a military prision he would been slighty less popular than a pedo in a normal prision). As others have pointed out anything that had happened to him at his own hands or the hands of other inmates it would always been spun as sanctioned (no matter how well the guards kept an eye out chances are the other inmates would have made their displeaure felt).
I could respect someone standing by their principles while obbouring their actions bud he would need to be fucking retared to think he was going to get a slap on the wrist for what he is alledged to have done.
Missed that.
see title...from the article its about latest mac book pros anyhow, not phones or tablets.
so headline is full of shit then?
Kit needs cert for purchases to made by orgs, Apple withdrawsfrom getting kit certified and its not down to them causing this?
Apple brought this on themselves for withdrawing from a set of standards.
Hmmm
Yeah a swift kick to the nuts of wankers doing this is good. but the last bit is streching it a bit.
Re: not really the users they care about
Why should the ISP be on the hook for cleaning up someones virus ridden POS anyhow?
on the other hand...
The Indian office might just be a absolute shithole...
beat me to it ;-)
Re: I moved from BT to TalkTalk Business yesterday (ADSL2+)
Loss of sync is not likely going to be network congestion related though.
Re: Wifi vs Ethernet
The answer is fucking lots...
Would you count my
Self inflected gender bias comment?
Re: Industrial scale development
yeah sure lots of them are going to help when the winds not blowing/blowing to hard...
huh?
I thought they got in hot water because of price fixing in collusion with the publishers, ie fuck all to do with apples ebook market share.
and can we have
Fines for those to stupid to filter their ADSL correctly or think a 20m cheap as fuck phone extension should work ok.
Re: So for all you guys out there...
don't think I would give much of a shit TBH.
Re: checklist
actually according to a write up on baen the phyisical part takes less then the other work (proof reading, etc...).
Pardon me if I take the word of author working for a publisher that quite happy punts DRM free ebooks and also give some books away for free with the authors agreement over some numbnuts posting anonymously on a comments thread.
The write ups on teh baen free libary are pretty intresting TBH.
enjoy monitoring mine as well assholes
see title...
Well
Unless you switching from one IPStream provider to another IPstream provider there is work carried out in the exchange on the switch over day.
Used to have to support ISP supplied filtering software...what fucking nightmare that was. Kids broke it (then machine would not boot).
Not to mention morons installing it for no need.
Just because he is dead does not mean someones opinion should only include "good things".
Was for DLC content not online multiplay though.
Yup I already have a kindle, might pick up a fire. the new kindles don't offer anything I want (touch screen for a ebook reader strikes me as mostly pointless
So how in the hell can a generic advertisement take into effect that ADSL speed is based on line length/quality?
Trust me I have had this conversation with dipshits THAT WILL NOT LISTEN.
convo goes like this
inablity to listen"so that will be x speed?"
me "no the estimate is y"
inablity to listen" so x speed"
me "no the estimate is y"
Continue till head meets KB...
Average speed estimates are utter crap TBFH they can be +/- 2 meg over or under (sometimes worse). and what can srew it even more is some of utterly fail ways they have hooked the DSL device up to the line.
How about giving virgin a kicking for their fire optic lies...
it costs to much for us to prove!!!!
well colour me very unsympathic...
or in other words boo fucking hoo.
I can bullshit as well
Can remeber one night on exersize where i watched a bush stand up and run up and down a hill for 10 mins or so.
Lack of sleep and stress was the cause (granted a prev training group failed to report a 6 foot pink rabbit apprently, the guy wearing the suit was a bit narked at the waste of the rental cost).
@ph0b0s
You comapire chalk and Cheese. unforseen outcome of a stated peacseful protest and one organised purely for smashing shit up.
living in glasgow
It should be a group of people turning up to thank the police for arrestting the wee shitmonkey...
why not just put the 30%
on the price via itunes with a FAQ that states "your extra 30% is due to apple being a bunch of money grasping control freak wankers, to avoid apple tax don't use itunes"...
pretty sure
The sustained ROF is lower for the MS 3 shot UBGL than the M203 they were trying to replace, also loss of flexibity of ammo choice
MS stuff
Was a good vid, but generely of bugger all use that I could see. bore sighted sigle use narrow cone of fire and a bugger to reload.
Electrically fired organ gun was my thought on my first look at their stuff
I can't be the only one thinking
That this is just a way of self important wankers helping advertise the fact by gesture
kick
The little bastards off for lying about their age and being stupid enough to be cought...
Hmmm
Actually I don't have a problem buying a kindle book at hardback (or there about) prices during the period that the book is only alvlible in hard back. As long as it drops to paperback prices (or about) when the paperback comes out.
But hell on the other hand I tend to buy baen ARCs of my fav baen writers which are more expensive than hardbacks (but i get to have the book before its out in even hardback). What used to really get my back up was crapy bindings on a hardback.
Honestly though the cross platfom kindle reader software I tend to think as "nice to have" If I ever need it.
well your over looking a couple of things really
If you have a o2 mobile linked to the BB acount thopse prices automaticly drop by £5 and the older packages are still unlimted, unlike the new ones which have both traffic management and download limits.
So yes people on the old packages will be paying more than people on the new packages, but they are alos less restricted so I don't see the problem.
As for the VAT increases? Yes they passed those on just like thay passed on the VAT decrease when it happened. Lets not foeget the support line is a UK based freephone number.
Possition killed by...
prolonged case of foot in mouth?
snigger
she was probably unknown. Now everybody knows who she is.
Nice own goal.
@cornz 1
And self rightous picks should just fuck off and die.
Personaly I have no issue with smoking outside, but in good weather you get poeple bitching about you smoking in beer gardens...now they do my fucking head in.
god not fitering software....
Used to work a ISP that supplied some, chirst what a nightmare TBFH.
From dipshit users installing it not registering it then it killing the net connection , no kids likley to ever be accessing the machine and ignoring the big important "register in a week or your connection will go down" message, to kids trying to bypass it and turning machines into paperweights.
To many convos centerign round "yes little johhny tried to bypass the filter, no thats the only way your going to get THAT error message" to "did you not follow the instructions? ok do you have any chirlren that will access teh machine? No? then why did you install filtering software if you don't want the connection filtered? Ah it was on the disk......<slam head into desk repeatdly>...
Man i need a drink now...
ah
side dish of irony anybody?
For a bonus helping complete teh following phrase...hoist by you own .........?
@ian ferguson
Which is not really any dofferent from the current approch of when in doubt toss a greneade in...
Not sure how
It stacks up against trend software, but MSE kicks the shit out of mcafee. I know it protects against some malware that went through mcafee like it was not there <much of the scareware investations that made last year so much fun>.
I also recomend it to anybody that asks, its free and its pretty light on the machine resources. I view it in teh same vein as bundling a firewall with windows...A good thing.
So its...
Basicly a proper pat down then Instead of a half arsed one?
(no pun intended).
