Pah
I'm way more impressed by the Jordanian show where one of the speakers pulled a gun out and started waving it around (not that it stopped his opponent who carried on regardless).

We thought that hyper-corps would have private armies and fight wars with shadowy operatives stealing secrets and bumping off top executives.
Turns out they just hire armies of lawyers and throw hissy fits and PR stunts in brightly light court rooms instead.
How embarrassing this is going to look to archaeologists thousands of years from now.
MI5 boss reported today that the substantial cost of employing all these cyber spies, web-enabled crooks and trolls was prohibitive and threatened the UK economy at large. The boss admitted being unsure of what a troll actually was but stated that he couldn't see any role for such creatures, given the reduced focus on ground warfare.
He is probably thinking about the pitch. People only devote a certain amount of cognitive effort to understanding something.
If it's a new technology for digital rights management people will want 1 or 2 lines as to why it's better than the current system for them. Nobody wants to sit through an in-depth presentation of how it's important for the future of creative media or the nuances of future proofing.
Is just retarded, until we invent a universal serial port.... wait... an omni connector that works for everything, manufacturers should put as many ports as they can squeeze on. I'd be ecstatic if my phone had micro and mini usb port. Hey stick a regular usb port on and I'd still be happy.
How will this be functionally different from the cookie laws which recently came into effect. Websites will just say "please click the button to accept our cookies. If you continue to use the site, we'll assume you're happy to accept the cookies anyway." just as they currently are.
If opt in tracking is required for accessing a website people will just grant permission.
No matter what you think of Swedish prosecutors, they are investigating RAPE
RAPE RAPE RAPE
If they really want to investigate the case, they should be desperate to interrogate him. Doesn't matter if it's by Skype or Conference call. The prosecutor should be filing charges if they have EVIDENCE instead of pissing about trying to extradite him.
There are ZERO reasons why someone has to be extradited when all you want to do is talk to them. There is ZERO reason why you can't file charges TODAY.
You can try people in absentia, if they have that strong a case then they should be presenting it. THINK about the whole situation and consider that anyone can be ACCUSED, what matters is CONVICTION and EVIDENCE.
Swedish prosecutors have repeatedly requested that Assange make himself available for QUESTIONING.

A failure in communication strategy. Here is how the conversation should have gone:
Them - "Hello federal department of whatever such nonsenses"
Me - "Hello, I have created an intranet site and am providing a hyperlink reference to your site. Am I required to indicate that the Department of Blah is the owner of this material?"
Them - "Definitely!!!"
Me - "Ok thank you for the clarification, What is your name again?"
Them - "Sargent Slaughter"
Me - "Thanks, I will make the amendments immediately"
Me - write in notes record of conversation and name of person you spoke to. Put seal on website to indicate the owner of the material.
You have 1 master password and optionally a key file and it opens up a wee database of passwords. It even does auto type and stuff which is simple but nice.
Not sure how secure it really is but it beats having 1 login for everywhere... probably. It is annoying to have 1 database file at work and 1 at home though.
I've just phoned up Orange and they have confirmed that it is not possible for them to block Premium-rate SMS from being sent. They were able to block premium rate telephone calls but said there was nothing they could do about SMS. The support worker I spoke to said he had been there 13 years and had often heard this request and passed the complaint up the chain on many occasions.
