Agincourt actually an even scrap, historians claim

Unhappy

We (emasculated) happy few...

So in essense, the English-to-French manliness ratio has been shifted to the favor of our Gallic brothers? Does this mean the Brits have been been temporally and fractionally emasculated? And to think that Caesar that the Belgians were the tough tribe to beat. Ouch. That's harsh news.

Call me Nokolai Armstrongski

Hey, we Americans may not be able to put men in orbit, but by God we sure can build an app to let you watch our boys ride that Russian rocket up in to space! USA! USA! US... er, um... oh my... hey brother, can you give me a lift up to the ISS?

Strangelove, indeed

So long as those nasty inbound ICBMs remain stationary and have a big tape square on them, I think we can all feel safe now.

Hey, I can cloak a small object too! My secret method is to put it into my pocket.

Do we really need science for this?

Umm...

Had this guy not heard of helicopters before? Personally I'd have much rather had a personal jetpack, but I'm sure the jerk in the BMW jetpack would still cut me off on my way to work.

FAIL

A wholly moronic idea

Ah yes, let's see, let's leave it to a non-nautical type to devise a device for use on boats, shall we?

First of all, fouling a propeller of a powered boat in motion isn't only stupid, it's brilliantly dangerous. Why? Well gosh-golly Mr. Genius Boffin, when you foul the propeller and it can't turn, that has the effect of tearing the living Shiite and Sunni holiness out of the little thingy attached to it - I believe it's called an "engine". So, blow the engine, and if it's near fuel - which engines typically are located close to fuel, and there's a risk of this little thing called "fire". And as any nautical type knows, fire on boats is not a Good Thing (TM).

So, "Boffins Burn Boat To Keel With Super-Bazooka, All On Board Burn In Fiery Death" will be the headline. Way to go, science! Keep up the boffo work.

US state bars sex offenders from 'social networking sites'

sun_god
WTF?

Thank heavens

Well thank goodness that the creeps are being blocked from social networking so that puritans like strippers, escorts, punks, thugs, gangbangers, criminals, wonks, politicians and scammers can be safe to surf the web. For a minute there I was getting worried, but now I see everything is right with the world again. Whew!

3.5 was buggerific

Maybe they'll even test the next release this time. 3.5 caused me all sort of headache. Not sure what they spent all that time on. That'll teach me to immediately install each release of Firefox until I hear if everyone else slid down the slippery slopes of bleeding edginess.

MSFT shoud bailout Washington state government

I have a kooky idea - if MSFT just paid off the State of Washington's $5 billion budget deficit in cash, maybe the state would rescind its 7.9% tax on MSFT? Sounds like a fair trade to me.

#iranelection is filled with mostly American bleeding hearts, not Iranian opposition

@ HafezMohsen said: "As the hashtag #iranelection has been in the trending topics for weeks now, it has to be clear Twitter is a major channel of communication for the opposition."

Sorry to say this HafezMohsen, that's bollocks. #iranelection long ago degraded into people retweeting the same garbage endlessly. I followed it for a day or two and it was just full of American bleeding hearts linking articles of Neda's murder and how to make home-made bombs.

Twitter is not the be-all end-all world changer that the Twitteratii and CNN like to pretend it is.

C64 and Woz

Should I know uninstall my VNC app on my iPhone? Or do I now need to be a lawyer to understand what Apple will and will not allow me to do with the hardware that I paid for and own?

>Woz was much better than Gates at writing software.

Woz wasn't involved in the Lisa or Mac OS development; he was all about the Apple I and II hardware and OS.
