Revolutionary my arse
What happens when the share price starts to slip? Seems a majority of the Media is underwhelmed too, interesting times ahead.
And those headphones that took 3 years to design? Long.

The above on my N8 has made my previous device look a bit Fisher Price. 15k miles and counting.
Offline maps, huge poi database, clear visial lane guidance, nice lady voice who also warns of cameras, traffic info/rerouting too and all for free. Public transport update the most recent I think.
Plus of course, I only have one device in my car also handling music and the inevitable pita call concurrently.
Gets a bit warm when I'm also shooting images/video with it but hey.. I take a charging cable.
Lumia has a big trick up its sleeve in the mapping content Nokia has.
But then, I bought a Sony Tablet anyway so I'm just weird.
I said when the Fire was announced that Amazon could be disruptive with it. I wonder which patents apple will try to sue under? These next ones from Amazon could really upset the idiot money applecart if they're half tidy.
Certainly more svelte than the current iteration (not that I'll notice as its on a stand most of the time) very very good Droid tab though. This update should hopefully attract even more of the discerning apple haters.
Surprisingly, my Tablet S had another update to ICS that arrived this Wednesday - Sony it would appear, are changing.
Really really happy with my Tablet S, good that Sony are continuing with the folded shape too, makes holding in portrait orientation much less wrist damaging.
The sound quality is also excellent via headphones/external speakers, battery life continues to surprise me.
ICS update brought more to the table & utilising Swype for text input really speeds things up. Ive always thought that they nailed the size with a 16:9 screen, just seems right in the hand, far less unwieldy than the 10"ers & for video it is of course perfect.
Sony have indeed done stupid things in the past but their small(ish) portable devices continue to offer genuine advantages over their competitiors. Was a little sceptical over the lack of Gorilla Glass but proved wrong, buff the thing with a microfiber cloth & it looks like new even after 9 months of daily use.
Plenty of time left on my two year warranty too....
Your all forgetting prior art means zip in this game.
Bits of paper ffs....
Will be interesting to see how the new port affects sales if true, how its sold too, if true of course.
Veering off slightly.. Bigger screens on smart phones are now null in the face of shrinking tablets tho surely? Just another black mirror slab.
Where's the things we promised in Earth Final Conflict?
Maybe not super ears but your right, most probably couldnt, or dont care.. they were happy with 128k for long enough....
With a decent separates system lossy files really are obvious & Im not ready to give up the happy feeling I get from the physical ownership of music just yet either.
In the real world I like the music I buy to sound the best it can, nothing like a big fat .wav as far as Im concerned.
Granted this then gets broken down to a 320kbps mp3 for mobile use but at home on the system, I want it all.
apples fault entirely of course, you dont need to buy CD's when you can DL from the horror that is itunes.. apparently....
Hello fellow Tablet S owner!
Echo your post in its usability, thankfully Mrs doesnt like touchscreens so its all mine & sees more daily use than any device before it.
As for Apple patents... what a cunch of bunts, especially the people that approve them without looking at the world outside their desk.
Wrong...
Its a 41mp sensor that scales images back with clever software to around 5mp. It will also shoot at 38mp if you want it to. It also has better glass than any phone before it..
In a phone yeah its maybe a bit much but whatever. They've built it, this is good tech.
Im guessing you dont use it from that comment. You take care now...
Unite was interesting & tested it a few times but found no use for it with a web accessible NAS in place. Widgets too seemed not to fit properly, extensions should still fill the gap nicely though.
Above all, its still the fastest page rendering browser by a country mile, with the best bookmark / speed dial sharing across every web connected device I own. I also trust Opera as a company far more than every other browser provider out there.
I aint changing - Opera ftw!
When/if it can do everything Symbian can. From what I've read it's gonna take a while.
Elop must have known this right? This whole saga is starting to smell worse by the day..
Just make phones that can do tons of different things wrapped up in some lovely hardware. Not that hard is it? Nokia did it with the N8/9 already ffs, 808 just takes the biscuit on the mobile tech front too.
Phones are phones, 6310 as an example but these are converged devices. Make better, you don't need to copy apple, just skin Symbian on the quiet.
Has been hijacked from special tilting lenses arcitectural photographers use to keep a buildings verticals, vertical (not on a path to convergance) when shooting from a low angle.
You can also repurpose these lenses to get a very very shallow Depth Of Field across a narrow strip of the film plane, which gives you the illusion of miniaturisation thanks to the majority of the image being out of focus.
As above, context is key and a high vantage point almost a necessity. Added to a jub load of contrast and saturation to further fool the eye.
Digital attempts to copy the true lens based effect are bollocks, tho I'd be lying if I said I hadn't tried once in post process. Much the same with HDR, once only WA enough.
