Re: If those keys, err coins, resurface again...
The way bitcoin works if you have the keys to the coins they are yours with nothing to trace them back to mtgox so yes they are worth something, Scan computers will build you a kick as PC with them for one thing.
I really don't like the Modern UI (or whatever they are calling it now) on a desktop, it's a mess.
That said if you circumnavigate the tiled interface the new desktop style makes windows 7 look old.
some what archaic idea but,
I am not a big fan of dishing out £145 plus but commercial TV is mostly awful so I guess it's business as usual.
The Tories have been goig on about this for decades but as per usual they will do nothing.
Re: Can't wait to not buy this one!
The so called Iwatch unless is has little functionality will be pretty chunky, can't see many women wanting a big assed watch.
Tell me who
Who actually wears a watch these days?
CO2 traps heat in the atmosphere that is a fact. The rest is so complicated a definite answer to what will actually happen will only come when it's happened. More weird weather more of the time probably.
sky broadband are they still awful?
My job is mostly home pc support and I have had dealings with sky broadband over the years and it was always a trial on the phone. With the onset of adsl2 and2+ people seem to have less connection problems these days so I have not had to talk to Sky for a customer for years.
My question is is Sky BB customer support as bad as always or have they got their finger out?
I am a bit better off than last year but I didn't do anything this year that was not necessary, virtually no booze or going out.
you supposedly can only paid into a bank account for scrap in the UK these days
Re: Apple also
With no way to delete transferred photos if you don't have a computer
it's the difference in £300-£500 and well over a £1000, that's why.
Tablets are more vulnerable and less likely to last as long anyway
the thing I am most concerned about is the battery, my macbook is 2.8 years old and according to the menu bar needs replacing, so I will, it's a bit of a faff as there is a tri-wing screw but easy enough apart from that. One this after 3 years the macook would be on it's way to useless.
On the Hudi
It's £119, for that price it's very well built is somewhat chunky.
It seems fast enough and is mostly uncluttered apart for the understandable tesco soft key.
It is hard to work out which way up it is and so find the power and volume controls.
It seems perfectly fast enough and nnlike my new nexus 7 the touch screen is responsive
If you want something reasonably cheap that is not an expensive disaster when the kids bugger it up
the Hudi will do nicely
the fingerprint unlock is a nice feature but not enough to jump on the ios bandwagon, I have a super sweet deal with t-moble so unless I bought an iphone outright it's a no go for me
according to the text messages I keep getting I am due a rebate, I think they lie
but NO you can't have it
or want it
Re: Whatever happened to free at a tenner a month
I pay £7.50
Fair Us internet
Unlimited land line
Use may own phone LG 2X
apart from the price
The problem I have with this is it's the ultimate in throwaway technology with its impossible to replace glues in battery
hardly wort a review
Just a slight boost from the one I bought earlier this year, Waste of the internet
How small must your penis be to need a 64 inch tv to compensate.
following ie 9
internet explorer has this feature, I assume Mozilla thought now thats a good idea. They need the feature that ie 9 has that any addon that slows the startup by more than 0.2 of a second throws up a dialogue asking if you want to disable it.
software patents my arse
I am all fot copyright of software code but vague software patents, bin the lot of them.
I wish htc would start putting optical trackpads back on their phones
Having a windows pc being used to firefox and coming to the Mac there is something less than satisfying about safari, so it never gets used on my machine.
Because of firefox's erratic memory use on os x I mostly use chrome
I can.t remember the last time I saw an actual virus on a windows machine just malware
the difference being
I am not defending this (if its true) and it was just a matter of time before this happened but the difference between OSX and windows is on osx you must provide a password to instal stuff on windows maybe depending on how its set up.
the screen would be expensive
if the 3ds is anything to go by it would kill the battery life (tone of the ipads strongest points)
who the hell wants it
has this fad not dead yet!
If you want 3d drama go to the theatre and watch a play. 3d tvs are a pointless piece of fluff
how can it be legal to jailbreak an iphone but not a ps3?
follow the ie road
so they are doing this not because that functionality is part of internet explorer 9 but because a good idea?
ie9 does this and checks for stuff that slows down startup
am I the only mac user how never uses spaces?
yes but no but yes
smacks of the apple grip of death videos to show other phones have problems with antenna's too
this is not new
I have seen this sort of thing for years , its hardly new
not had a problem her
I have updated over 20 pcs mixed 32/64 bit only problem one of them had to install a fix for something missing before the service pack would take. This report smacks of the so called kinect problem the bbc reported that was nothing
yes but no but yes
Apple laptops are mindwateringly expensive but so well built they don't have a competitor at this level. only 2 usb ports on a supposedly desktop replacement though?
I have the cheaper £1000 i5 and compared to my old white macbook its much better. In normal use its whisper quiet and hardly gets warm at all. In my use the battery probably will do 5 hours whilst not earth shattering is pretty decent.
the new Samsung box is much better than the old V+ box and the picture seems better.
One thing to note with sky is the picture quality on the none HD channels sometimes is so bad its unwatchable, not a problem you have on virgin
Apple will be taken down
Once the regulators get their teeth into this the shit will fry. If microsoft have to be forced to play fair so will Apple
it's all in the interpretation
looking at those charts what I see as andriod gaining and ios loosing share
we are a country of prudes
If a women of her own choice and of a legal age "sell's her favours" , I can't for one see the problem. Its her body not the states. The so called moral aspects of the oldest profession should have been left back with the Victorians.
Bring prostitution out in the open with checks to make sure the ladies are doing it of their own choice and leave it at that.
the bbc article is speculative crap with no basis in fact. If it was true it would be all over the place, the only articles in the internet about this link to the bbc one. I call poor reporting techniques, the bbc seem to have a spate of these recently, probably one shoddy reporter.
Like the article says unless you put it in a protective gase tje iphone 4 is an accident waiting to happen. One thing that put me off about the iphone is the contracts are expensive at least £10 a month more than one with other phones
sony have shipped 4.1 move controllers to retail, how many have been sold, that's another story.
we are admitting now that the Ipad is a big assed ipod touch are we ?
insecure by design
I wish I could go time travel back to 93 and show Bill what a fuck up the design of windows is before everybody started to get used to how windows works to install stuff. Microsoft need to enforce password for install like most other OS's. I do home support for PC’s and regardless of what Virus software is on the PC stuff is getting through. So MSE as good as anything else, at least it won’t bog you down. That said I am mostly installing Avast at the moment
If your user interface is complex or less than very good it may be rejected."
thats Itunes down the pan then
After using windows explorer for years using finder can be very frustrating true. The lack of send to email at this late stage is baffling.
some truth here
The only real advantage is the magsafe connector. The video thing is more Adobes fault than Apple's but I will agree with you most videos on the web play poorly on a mac. though I personally have had no problem with my battery which still manages 92% capacity after 35 months
touch screen, no thanks
I honestly can't see the point of touch screen computers apart from the obvious point of sale type. I can see the use of touch for phones and tablet devices but for full blown computers a mouse is better. if the imac had proper Stylus control for graphic use it would be a killer but can't see it really,
