The problem is who decides and what's to stop them adding things "they just don't like"
sms authentication though not fool proof is far more secure
The Bible is on the list because it "contains principles and guidelines to be a good person”
Has he/she actually read it, there are some seriously awful things in the bible
Will some people use a phone for all there work instead of a laptop yes, will people in static settings doing normal office stuff do the same? I doubt it.
After the brilliant and super complicated deployment of curiosity rover successfully hopefully this will go off without a hitch
ebay is not only second hand tat but also the place to fence shoplifted goods.
OSX memory usage is far higher than on an equivalent windows machine, anyone who says otherwise is just wrong.
Putin is clearly gay, unfortunately he is the self hating destructive type the Republican party is full of.
I can't see any reason why it would be thicker. With an extra 60 mm diagonally this gives a large area to add battery size
Someone at theregister uk is on the juice
Defenestrated is a word someone came up with to be clever but does not mean what the above title supposes. I know on a hump day you need to come up with something but throwing a person through a window does not fit this none story.
I don't get it
Dr Who got too silly and gave up with making any sense by the end of Tennant's incarnation. SF is supposed to mean fiction not fantasy
The every episode has to be an extravaganza turned me right off.
Apple invented nothing
There is nothing in IOS that had not been done before in some form or other, I suspect Ive and his ilk are big Star Trek fans
the time of the bank card is over
with the other safer options that don't expose peoples bank accounts maybe the banks need to ditch the direct payment card.
There are to many weird enterprise programs that need internet explorer even now.
Dr Who lost the plot with late Tennant episodes, they have given up with any pretense that it's SF
that would be the "Steer traffic to added-value services" part of the spiel on the netenforcer web site. I wonder how many Hotels do that?
Either Apple are lying or have fucked up
A good web site does not keep your password on the server but uses that to make a keys that cannot tell you the original password . You could use a similar system to encrypt a users files emails etc but if the user loses the password how do you get back in. You can't send them a reset password as this would not decode the files.
Re: Loving the comments...
touting Starbucks as quality coffee, really?
Trully the jesus Phone
If Huffpost are on the right track the iphone 6 is the second coming, and there was I thinking it was just another phone with no back button.
I don't get it
The mega iPhone is a note 3 that does less, they really need to jazz up the interface to get the best use of the bigger screen.
as we are late to the party some alien crazy scientist would have done it billions of years ago if it was possible.
Re: BBC produces quality TV that the market can't...
I suggest you look at the discovery channels listings then get back to me
Re: 1000 quid!
still can't put the touchpad where it's supposed to be, in the middle.
It's not really a macbook killer, it looks kind of clunky and is the touchpad up to the spec of the brilliant apple glass ones, I doubt it.
2-3 year desposable no thants
I have a 2011 macbook pro that has a battery that though having a weird screw holding it in is replaceable, I have already replaced the battery as it was failing, until they stop their ridiculous policy of gluing in the battery, I will look elsewhere, which is a shame.
If I moved it would have to be somewhere that has been laid for cable, decent mobile too obviously.
It's a nearly pregnant thing then.
Re: One OS
I think the problem with M$ is too big a team or many teams doing bits of the UI. The old designed by a committee chestnut. Windows 8 from an outsiders perspective is an obvious custerfook, throwing away 20 years of evolution of the desktop and start menu to tack on a brand new interface was stupid in the extreme.
Apple have hardly changed how OSX works (at a basic level) in nearly 14 years
I know this
The Janus Group took the plane down
Patents on censeptual things are just dumb
It nice to see litigious Apple take an hit on this but like most patents like this have prior art. Voice recognition has been a staple of SF for as long as I have been around and longer.
You should not be able to patent solutions to problems anyone with a bit of thought (slide to unlock) could have come up with.
It's hard to make a living as a bottom feeder ask Dell
overly long sketches with occasional funny bits, I can't wait
to be featured in FW emails from the over sixties everywhere.
FYI I filter FW emails out on the server
All we have got from the useless EU is the unnecessary in 2014 M$ confusing to users browser choice BS, it's quickly coming scrap and replace time
20 plus years without a watch and counting so Idon'twant
the goal area is (relative to the one dude protecting it) massive, it's only down to the skill professional defenders and goalies the score is not high in every game. this new ball if it goes where you kick it in a more dependable way will mean more goals.
I noticed that I got lastpass to generate one, it's random 12 characters mixed upper/lower case and numbers and only medium
https://howsecureismypassword.net/ says 25 thousand years to crack so maybe I will be OK.
I have been hoping Sony would go bust for years anyd it's nothing to do with the consoles which I have no interest in.
It's a watch
The thing vry few people wear any more, the isheep will lap it up
what's done is done and without Jobs jaunt to Next there may have not been OSX or IOS
Unless the full sized end is made from something more sturdy than the plated pressed steel its expensive trash waiting to happen
Unless you use mad eye moody level of constant vigilance (and unchecky) crapware like this toolbar gets easily installed, oh an yes realplayer is still a thing and I actually know someone who paid for the pro version recently
Re: If those keys, err coins, resurface again...
The way bitcoin works if you have the keys to the coins they are yours with nothing to trace them back to mtgox so yes they are worth something, Scan computers will build you a kick as PC with them for one thing.
I really don't like the Modern UI (or whatever they are calling it now) on a desktop, it's a mess.
That said if you circumnavigate the tiled interface the new desktop style makes windows 7 look old.
some what archaic idea but,
I am not a big fan of dishing out £145 plus but commercial TV is mostly awful so I guess it's business as usual.
The Tories have been goig on about this for decades but as per usual they will do nothing.
Re: Can't wait to not buy this one!
The so called Iwatch unless is has little functionality will be pretty chunky, can't see many women wanting a big assed watch.
Tell me who
Who actually wears a watch these days?
CO2 traps heat in the atmosphere that is a fact. The rest is so complicated a definite answer to what will actually happen will only come when it's happened. More weird weather more of the time probably.
sky broadband are they still awful?
My job is mostly home pc support and I have had dealings with sky broadband over the years and it was always a trial on the phone. With the onset of adsl2 and2+ people seem to have less connection problems these days so I have not had to talk to Sky for a customer for years.
My question is is Sky BB customer support as bad as always or have they got their finger out?
I am a bit better off than last year but I didn't do anything this year that was not necessary, virtually no booze or going out.
you supposedly can only paid into a bank account for scrap in the UK these days
