last time I cam acoss an "adult filter" on an internet contract (I think it was a mobile internet) it blocked such well knows adult sites as http://freefall.purrsia.com/ and http://forums.theregister.co.uk I would be suprised if this is any better

the reasion spent fuel rods are dangrious is that they are raidocative. it is exactley the same property that made them usefull in the first place. I have been talking to somone in the decomishing industry and the new genration of nuke plants do not have astrronomical clean up costs
the current gen do but they where built as test plants and wepons genrators and so they have complex clean up. But the new gen desines and easy to clean up and I bleave the ones in the US put asside a little form each MW they sell to pay "cleanup insurance" to cover decomishing costs

I do not have the evidance for this but I was told by somone who works in the nuclear decomising industry is that plants in the USA do pay for them selfs and pay a tax on all energy sold to pay for the cost of decomishing
and by the way before anyboady says so the reasion a lot of decomishing at the moment is very expencive is the things that at the momeny are begin decomishened are test reactors a lot of witch where pushed to the limites (as you do in tests) ans therefor there where some unexpected results witch are costly to clean up

I rember a talk with a friend of mine and the jist of it was that the more mony/effor that gose on sfx the less time/mony gose on good writing

and I bet when petrol cars where first out all the pepol how had horses said that having all that flamable petrolum sprit arpound the stable was a fire hazzard (probley not give the times but) diffrent tyoes of transport will give diffrent thougts. for an example pepol with electric cars will get used to puluging them in every time they part in a carpark then 30 mins charge seams resionable (most pepol want a brake after neally 100 miles drive)

it is the goverments fualt that nuclear is so expencive to clean up it they did not insist that it's saftey standards where vastly safer than others it would be much more competive
for example a nuke plant must acount for every attom of wast they produce and must contain it all but a coal plant can dump it's waste up a chimly or in a pit even when it is more raido active than some of the stuff a nuclear plant produces

you are only partley right here but thatg is better than the rest of your post short lived isotopes are usuley more active than long lived ones because they give off so much energy that is why they are short lived BUT the activity lvl is what is being monitered so to get the lvls they are fiondign in the tap water they most be a very minute amount of iodide and it will be gone very quickley and once it is in the enviroment it will decay and delude and be undecatable v ery quickley

I have lived with in 5 miles of 3 diffrent neculre plants and I have never lost a momnets sleep over them
I lost more sleep when they put up a wind farm near my office cos the flickering blades stoped me taking my mid afternoon nap
