Re: It's been a long time...
Ironically, you've spelt 'paedo' wrong
Using 'loosing' instead of 'losing' - instant loss of argument
Re: New Balls Please
He had a lucky escape if she's less interesting than a phone
It's just to show Barclays as the usual evil bank wasting customers' money.
Sad lack of hip-hop knowledge
That's obviously the Roc diamond, ie her husband's record label logo.
Must be off, I'm way behind in my mackin' and representin'
Protesting works against companies, they have profits to protect. But the UK gov don't care about protests. Iraq, student fees, disability living allowance, thousands, if not millions, have protested. The government have ignored them. They'll ignore any protest about this
Not sure we can really blame Apple
IANAL, but wouldn't the developers themselves have to fight Ravensburger, as Apple aren't 'infringing'?
I do think it's stupid you can trademark a single everyday word. All you have to do is stick an 'i' in front, then trademark it. Can't see anyone having a problem with that...
Re: Who Was their BOFH?
I much prefer my GPS units bleu
(I know it's just a typo, but I can't let it pass)
Orders are shipped using UPS
Well, there's your problem. I've had nothing but trouble with them
Do they have a similar deal with Monmouth?
Used to be articles about Monmouth every few days on the DYK bit, until I went on the Talk page and told them to give it a rest.
Has no-one said Dyson Spheres yet?
After someone saying last week they were looking for them, doesn't this kind of tie in with that?
PR - you're doing it right
By the way, is the 80s ad with the Heart-style vocals the best ad ever? In terms of being memorable, I doubt there's anyone over 30 who could forget it. WooooAAAAAAAAOOOAH BWODYFOOOOOORMM
Re: The salmon's not dead
I actually think this one's fairly useful. Shows up the problem of false positives

Watching shows on 'Television' eh? Is that some new thing I've not heard of?
Weird how far things have gone, where it's now quite unusual to watch TV on TV. So many people I know have 'cut the cable'
I heard you like to pay, so I'm charging £3 to put money in yo wallet, so you can pay while you pay!
Android does look very much like iOS, and that's what really made the iPhone popular in the first place. It wasn't the first touchscreen smartphone, but it was the first you didn't need a stupid little stylus for. Android has completely nicked the whole look of it. If Google/Samsun had bothered designing some slightly different icons, they wouldn't be in this mess
So now as well as listening to other people's music on horrible speakers, now we get the video too
VM is OK by me
Yes, the V+ box is a bit flaky, but other than that, I'm a happy customer. BT? Never again. My VM connection has gone down, on average, once a year, and every time, it's been overnight so not like I was using it anyway. The BT connection at my work, on the other hand, cuts out about every couple of weeks, and that's a business account.
As for the TV service, I'd rather watch S4C in black and white than Murdoch TV
You and me must be the only happy VM customers. My connection is always rock-solid, I can count on one hand the number of times it's failed in the last 5 years. As for the customer support, my advice is unless you hear a Liverpool or Glasgow accent, hang up.
Oh God no!
Not crappy old hash again! Come on man, this isn't the 80s
British govt announces version for Royal Navy
Apparently, they've got a REALLY BIG magnifiying glass
Expensive music player
These things are not about playing music. Who'd buy an iPad just to listen to music? Not trying to defend the iPad, don't own one, don't want one, but your last sentence makes no sense
All very good....
...but can I get Angry Birds on it?
Sad story but...
i think she wanted to believe it, even though it surely must have obviously been not true. I mean, £20000 for leave passes. Whoever heard of paying to get leave from the army? Desperation, of any sort, drives people to do some very stupid things.
Too much back-story
The problem with Bane is the huge backstory - only way to do it justice would be a TV series of the whoile Knightfall saga.
Well, a Bat-nerd can dream, can't I?
NEVER use BT
Same thing happened to me at my old job. Spent hours on the phone over the course of 3 weeks trying to get a line disconnected. Complained on Twitter once, and it was sorted in minutes. Bizarre customer service BT have, they only do anything if you complain on Twitter!
I'll never use BT for anything again. Beyond hopeless
Who is LESS evil these days?
Seems like if you want a fancy-phone, your choices are Apple, MS or Google. Is there a decent non-evil smartphone out there?
From the headline I thought had ripped the guts out of an iPhone, added a bigger screen and stuck it in a larger case, but they're not that clever. I'm sure someone will give it a go though.
What counts as a strong password?
What if you use a dictionary word but replace certain letters with numbers, leet-style, ie 3 for E etc? Not that that's what I do, I'm just saying. STOP TRYING TO GUESS MY PASSWORD!
Shares in Bacofoil to rise
Now all the nutters will need tin-foil pants to go with their lovely shiny hats
As a child of the 80s, all I'm wondering is, can we finally have hoverboards please?
....that was funny
I'll stick with iTunes. I've tried Spotify on the desktop and can't see what the fuss is about. Isn't it what Last.fm has been doing for ages? Oh, and it's free on iPhone too. Unless you can actually download the MP3, paying is crazy. What if Spotify goes out of business? I'd rather pay a pound or two per song and keep the actual file.
Good news and bad news...
Bad news is, they watched the tapes but no moon landing, it'd been taped over. Good news is - turned out to be the lost Doctor Who episodes
Almost painless update process, apart from the authentication logjam. I do like the new options on podcasts and audiobooks previously mentioned. Big improvement to YouTube too, logging into your account for favourites and you can now see comments...actually, not sure if that last one's a good thing.
