So how do you know what someone on a TV show smells like?

Or they could have just leafed through a Braun catalogue from the 60/70's. Must be nice if your Daddy can get you work experience in a top design agency.
Well how much worse could it get for Nokia - look at a sales chart over the last 5 years.
"a Google-phone crammed with Google apps and services and plastered with Android widgets, looking like a child has tipped several different jigsaws onto a glass table"
LOL - Whereas a collection of squares on a black table is so much better! Glad to see the author still knows who butters his bread.
He isn't judging you for your stupidity, he is just hoping like me that you take steps to fix your own dire situation.
Re: Native or Android
You are obviously not familiar with the app settings menu you can access for each app on JB/KK.
Re: Absence of quality third party applications
You can't help being a fuddy duddy, I am not judging so why are you complaining?
Re: Native or Android
Some of your contacts may get up to one extra spam email a week, OH THE HUMANITY!
Re: £149 for a nearly android, or £99 for a good one?
"keeps turning up bugs and security issues"
BB10 however is well known to be entirely free of bugs ;-)
Considering that 4.4 KitKat has the option to replace Dalvik with ART, by way of a test it stand to reason that by 4.5 or 5.0 ART will be default and all Blackberry's effort will seem rather pointless.
Re: "If it uses QNX rather than Linux"
What about CyanogenMod or KANG?
There are 5 or 6 version of office for Android, running some sort of Windows with no desktop software and no apps is hardly any kind of selling point.
Most adults use Android because it does the job and is cheap, only snobbish tweens avoid it because they are so grown up and important ;-)
Security? Someone is reading the tabloids too much!
Real version of office ? Like Kingsoft Office or Quick Office?
You don't get high end laptops for next to nothing with a contract, big difference there.
Re: Agree with Woz
The things you say you can do with the iPad also work with Android tablets, it's just MUCH cheaper to buy a micro SD, and be able to UPGRADE your storage when you need to, without clumsy external dongles.
Well no because he wants more Storage not less, your metaphor generator is broken.
Re: Just Imagine
"little to differentiate them" If only that some kind of unique camera technology......
Actually you can patch this with an app from the Play store - really easy.
Re: Gesture politics at its worst
Deep packet inspection - back to broadband speeds.
Re: Hmmm.... a Nanny State.
THEY ARE ALREADY ILLEGAL YOU IDIOT - This is just a silly filter for parents too stupid to control their own children's web access.
Re: Key Words: "Best *Windows* Phone..."
So you're a dutchman abroad ?
Re: I don't want a US spy in my pocket.
Your network still reads all your data - on the bright side you can do so little with Firefox OS that they have nothing to report!
Re: I love mine but..
So spend £500 on a device with a built in satnav but don't use it, buy another GPS instead - LOL!
Didn't Google beat them to it a month ago ?
Re: Can someone please enlighen me
Turn up the text DPI then everything non-textual looks lovely and sharp - I'm guessing you're not big on graphic design, most people don't use command line on a laptop much ;-)
Re: "A cold boot takes about 18 seconds to reach the login screen;"
Any chance that a caching algorithm might take a few goes on the Samsung too ?
Re: I agree...
use Classic Shell - Easy!
Re: Between the lines
Where would it go ? Search is hardly going to vanish it is Google's main business - Analysts are generally full of it.
Re: Perspective of a recent Android
That's because no one uses any of that pointless crap anymore, you don't need bluetooth with a mount and speakerphone, you have many different ways of video calling, and most Android phones do have USB mass storage.
Re: I'm waiting for..
Android was never cool, people who use it don't care, cool is for fanboys and hipsters.
No the reviews and lack of sales mean it must be the best ;-)
So you took out all the screws and the back panel refused to move ? I would advise that like every other laptop in the world, remove the screws on the base then flip it over and remove the keyboard, the top will then come off and you can access the internals.
"Windows Phone 8, Redmond's operating system for mobiles, is truly a jewel, and by contrast to Windows 8 desktop, it is well liked by its users."
All five users of Windows Phone 8 do love it but they are only allowed crayons.
Re: Looking for an easy solution? Blame it on somebody else
Yes, but the OEM cost of Windows could buy a higher res screen instead ;-)
It has been running on my EeePC perfectly fine, Android has had support for keyboard and mouse since 3.0.
With a few extra tweaks Windows could be running scared.
Re: Yeah right 500$ from an Android laptop!?
Android doesn't NEED a touchscreen it has worked with a keyboard and mouse since version 3.0
Re: Yeah right 500$ from an Android laptop!?
Microsoft have stopped sales of Windows 7, once Lenovo runs out of OEM copies you are stuck with 8.
You sound like you have never used Android if you think it is a "locked down apps machine".
All Android devices have been touch based ?
Any Android device whether tablet, netbook or phone will work with a usb/bluetooth keyboard and mouse, once a mouse is plugged in a cursor will appear on screen. Android has had this capability since 3.0, work really well too.
No be thankful for all the smart people Jobs hired, Jobs invented nothing - he just new how to sell.
"Chase the iPad Mini"
You mean attempt to not die in a ditch and manage to hold on to last place.....
Re: According to Secunia...?
Funny - it was the only broswer to beat the hacking competition for several years in a row.
Microsoft have Bing - Search and advertising, what have you been smoking ?
Yes Eadon listen to ********'s opinion - oh wait it is probably a spam bot - just ignore it.
Re: First time in a long time.
Ever tried IE Tab for Firefox ?
So ever heard of BING ? Microsoft want to know where you go to they just can't work out how to do it as well as Google.
Ever heard of BING - Microsoft want to lock you in AND sell ads. They don't want to just kill Google they want to steal their market.
Re: Google winning the browser wars - not as scary as the dark days of IE
Someone is feeling a little paranoid, why charge for a free OS when it makes them billions in the search market.
Nothing illegal being done you just don't understand the law AT ALL.
