Oz video rental giants go Blu-ray only

Wake up people..

Grrr, It annoys me when HD DVD owners try and pull their trump card, price of BD players..

The current price of Sony BDPS300 is £259.99 inc VAT. Full 1080p, not an obsolete HD DVD player that does 1080i..

Personally, I would pay the £20 more and get the 40GB PS3 for £279.99 from Play.com, as it includes a game, and is an awesome Blu-ray player, media streaming client, and killer game console...

MS makes, sells 65nm 'Falcon' Xbox 360s

Mark Gillespie

Latest 360's just as unreliable as before.

Days after hitting retail, there are already reports of Falcon enabled 360's being just as crappy.

Record e-auction saves £100m

Nice but..

The reality is, that fat cat bosses will absorb the savings, by rewarding themselves bonuses for coming up with the plan...

Apple's Safari 3: a crashing experience for non-US users

Mark Gillespie

Faster than IE? Perhaps...

Faster than Opera, no way...

Opera is considerably faster, in page loading, rendering, and javascript it seems...

I won't be switching from Opera to Safari, as Opera renders almost everywhere I visit correctly..

Flaws galore in IE and Firefox

Mark Gillespie

What no Opera???

Seems Opera is OK here, but then it's pretty rare that Opera vunrabilities are discovered, and they are always nailed down within days...

Opera seems to be designed with security in mind, but Mozilla and IE have secuirty bolted on...

MS names Halo 3 day

Mark Gillespie

Yawn factor 9

From what I have seen, it's an incremental update to Halo 2, and I've frankly seen it all done before..

I won't be staying out to buy this. Then again, I wouldn't touch a Xbox360 with a barge pole either...

Glastonbury data all at See

Mark Gillespie

Make a Complaint...

Whilst I didn't want Glasonbury tickets (who in their right mind buys festival tickets with no line-up announced). I urge people to complain to the Information Commissioners office.

Companies need teaching an expensive lesson, people's data is private, and if you chose not to share it, that is the end of the story. See Tickets need taking to the cleaners.

I am personally sick of Mean Fiddler, Live Nation and Ticketmaster with their continued spam, despite never asking for it, each time I opt out, yet the cra@p continues. The unsubscribe option (naturally) does not work.
