Pathetic

Orange simplifies data by capping at 30MB

Abuse Of The Word 'Unlimited'

Its really that simple, companies are abusing the word unlimited and misleading its customers by advertising a service is unlimited when the top and bottom of it all is its not whether it be capped, throttled or have a fair usage policy...

This is what needs to be sorted out in this country to make things clear and simple for the consumer. Oranges offer is crazy and they should go tits up they are that pathetic they have no idea what customers want, their network is a shambles, customer service is rotten and the company revolves around GREED!!

How they are still in business and have customers is beyond me.

Doctor Who faces extermination

RTD Get A Grip!!

I cant believe this man really thinks the whole series will finish just because he has got bored and wants to try his hand at something else. Who does he think he is, he is not all that and the whole DR Who franchise does not revolve around him!

I never watched Dr Who before till it restarted and I must say now its amazing. I seriously cant see the BBC getting rid of it when its so successful. Maybe a fresh perspective will take the show in another direction, have better ideas, longer running storylines, better locations and be a bigger hit.

For RTD to think it will end when he leaves shows his arrogance. You only need good direction and great storylines to make it successful. They have 2 great cast members with the current DR and companion so the show can still go on.

Virgin Media piles Cable and Wireless sandbags

Comment On Wayleave!!

May I suggest you find out the full facts about what the issue actually is with wayleave that your friend is having.

It has nothing to do with someone else having cable in one of the flats in the property, its because the place your friend has moved into is owned by a housing association which is classed as a private landlord, therefore unless they was an active account with a previous customer before you friend moved in they MUST get permission from the landlord before they can cable its a legal requirement!

Thats why they write to the landlord to request permission, if they dont get a reply or its refused they cant go ahead and install the cables. If they do reply and give permission to cable then they can do...

That was the explanation i was given when i had the same issue with cable about 3 years ago, it was sorted like only a few weeks and my housing association have permission!!!!!!

What People Are Forgetting...

Is Virgin Media is just a re-branded name of NTL. People seem to be assuming that prices went up, service declined etc etc since it was virgin when all that happened there was they package names changed and they re-branded. Its still ran by NTL's CEO...

The people who are unhappy the most is ex Telewest customers as its these who have suffered the most with the shit services NTL customers have always been dumped with which has now been passed on to ex Telewest such as outsourced india contact centres with POOR customer service, POOR faults ETC

Yes OK, So richard branson is a shareholder in the company, but he dees not make the decisions himself. So maybe complaints should be directed to the CEO in written format so they can understand how many customers they have pissed off with things such as increase tv cost loss of channels, telephone charges going per min, broadband throttling, poor service from outsourced centres etc etc etc

Expensive Broadband For Reduced Service?!

I can understand why they have introduced this 'throttling' and personally think its a fair way for people who do not abuse the internet by downloading shed loads of music & films etc to get a quality service!

But I also think that the 'limits' decided before the throttling takes place have been set way too low and makes the service not worth paying for. Not everyone who uses the internet downloads from P2P software but do use the internet for what it was intended for, and with more broadcasters offering VOD content via their website they are going to be screwed big style!!

Firstly VM need to grow some and actually tell customers what they are doing in an 'open and honest' manner as they are so eager to say they operate, as well as reduce the prices of their broadband services to reflect good value for money and the 'throttled' service they are now offering. What they also need to do is change the wording on their website as there service is no longer 'UNLIMITED' as this definition reflects being able to use as much of the service as you wish with no CAPS or RESTRICTIONS. This is not the case as there service is now 'SUBJECT TO A FAIR USAGE POLICY AND DOWNLOAD THROTTLING' and this needs to be advertised CLEARLY so its not misleading to customers!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think its time VM stop infuriating customers by loosing channels and throttling services and INVEST in their network and give customers the services they pay for and expect. Either that or REDUCE the prices to reflect the service customers get - BROADBAND IS EXPENSIVE.

EU postpones roaming cap decision

Rip Off Roaming Charges...

Its about time that roaming charges are reduced as mobile firms have ripped of customers and profited way too much on this for too long!!

Its scandalous that it has not been sorted well before now. I went away last year and ended up with a huge bill for sending texts which did not come out of my allowance and cost me 40p each. But to make it worse, Although I didn't use my phone whilst abroad i got £16 worth of charges because people tried to ring me and i didn't answer due to the cost incurred by me but was STILL charged as the calls were directed to my answering machine.

Lets hope the price agreed by the EU means that customers can see BIG savings whilst using their mobiles abroad. They should not be charged at all for receiving calls and to be honest most of the companies abroad are owned by the same ones in the UK anyway such as who owns O2 or being connected to Vodafone Spain so the argument of being charged for networks abroad carrying the call is utter boll@$*%

Mobile phones no longer used for calls

AJ

Not Value For Money!!

People don't use their mobile for calls because its simply too expensive compared to a landline. Yes companies offer talk plans providing you agree to stay with them 18 months in some cases but its STILL expensive...

The cost of a mobile call does not reflect anywhere near the cost for an operator to provide that call even with termination charges etc

Even a text at 10-12p is expensive, when it costs the company coppers to actually send the message. Its just another example of RIP OFF BRITAIN!

But the thing is if we are daft enough to pay excessive prices its our own fault, We must enjoy being bled dry.
