SiFi stories about moon landings.... is NASA trying to tell us something?
How about a love story, the shuttle pilot who has an affair with another shuttle pilot and then embarks on a cross country trip to confront her love rival?
How about a disaster story when part of the spacecraft blows up leaving the crew on disable spacecraft heading for the moon but running out of air.

I had the misfortune, while channel surfing, to wander into one of these programs last week.

So what's happening on the server that allows them to do that???
Is it that the ETag is being used as a type cookie to track the browser? This is different to what I understand a ETag should be, a mechanism for the caching of webpage elements (pages, images etc,) to reduce bandwidth usage and server load.
So is it not a simple matter of disrupting the ETag to break the tracking, at the cost of increased bandwidth which wouldn’t seem too much of a problem given the broadband speeds most of us have.
Sites that don’t use this form of tracking could still use age response header or cache control directives even though it may not be as effective as using ETags for this purpose
Or am I being naïve (or possibly just old) and missing something

Bose, either individually or as part of a larger group (class action??) should offer to sell her browsing history to mickeysoft/mcdonnalds etc for $5,001, when they refuse to buy her browsing history, claim the $5K economic loss and sue (class action??) on the grounds that interclick have caused the loss by previously selling that information to Mickeysoft et al.
There must be some 'merkin ambulance chasers willing to take this on a no-fee basis
What surprises me is that a third of the british households have subscribed to sky movies. The last time I checked sky movies doubles the subscription cost, and again I am surprised at this considering that TCM and Film 4 are free on the standard sky package. HD is also extra.
If UPC can ever get their act together and provide something that works all the time then sky will have some serious competition.
I'd much prefer something like Netflix anyway.
I really think this is silly, how do you obtain “obtain verifiable parental” consent for an internet based software product. In fact how do you even prove age over the internet? If somebody said they are over 18 years of age, how do you disprove it?

Maybe the judge had a bit of a brainfart because one of the aspects of the Lisbon Treaty is that it reinforces the principle of mutual recognition, which allows a court in one EU country to recognise and enforce a criminal conviction from another.
While what crApple have done is criminal but the case they took was a civil action.
The Lisbon treaty also establishes the "minimum rules" on mutual admissibility of evidence, however crApple seem to have interpreted this as "minimum standard".

For example in MickySoft VB for applications, if you want to open a file selection window you still have to call the windows API directly. You may as well be programming in 'C'.
The quality of mickysoft helpfile documentation has declined over the years as well, IMHO there was a time that the help files supplied with VB, access etc were of sufficent quality to learn VB programming. Now adays they are barly an aid memoir.

I befriended someone who claimed to play one of the facebook games after they posted a request on that games forum. I first reported them to facebook three weeks ago and I am flagging at least two or three posts a day of their links to a porn site.

What? I don’t have that much experience of Java, but do I understand you correctly that this is a problem because the data definitions are coded outside the main method and are therefore appear as global data???? (or something like that)
Is it a Java problem of a Google Chrome problem?
In either case it looks like a fail of epic proportions for both the developers of the extensions and the Sun/Oracle developers of Java for sloppy programming.
