Re: OnePlus One
I am getting old, I want an simple FM radio for my commute. The FM works, the mobile signal doesn't. Most good phones seem to have got rid of them.
Have they fixed things like?
If you attempt to send a text message when there is no signal, queuing the messages until there is a signal rather than beeping and saying 'try again'
Allowing you set a silent time or actually any scheduled task, it can't be done.
Allowing you to download more than 10Mb over the mobile network? You can stream any amount you like and it will create a huge buffer much greater than 10Mb, but you can't download it until you get a WiFi signal.
Yes I am an annoyed podcaster who catches the tube to work!
I like the idea of a hudl, but its been out of stock for ages now.
scarce uranium fue?
to be picky I thought the Aussies had tonnes of "scarce uranium fuel" as does South Africa, I understood that whilst it isn't limitless, we have more than we (as a planet) could ever want, or use for hundreds of years anyway
Assuming he wins and they accept his cheque, I will jion him with the novelty cheque payment for that £4.50 as I pay online as well. Please keep us imformed how it goes.
I haven't got an email saying sorry, but then I stopped at the piont I got someone elses details and rung them.
I wonder if I will get one?
Both myself and my wife have unlimited Vodafone data traffis through our works, and I can say very easily that when we get home or at work we use the wireless links as they are faster. I wouldn't go swapping my WiFi for a GPRS even if they gave me the base station, its just too slow, why would I use that link and add to that by increasing the latancy by putting Vodafone in my broadband link?
The only reason I would agree, is to, as you suggest run a VPN tunnel from somewhere foreign.
There are some problems with your comment:
Lets hope it wasn't a touch based phone or he could have run up a very large bill.
I have a number of mobile numbers and live in a small villiage <1000, so when I checked and they had more than entry for my name, I rung them asking to be removed. Basicly I was told to tell them all the numbers I have and we will remove the matches. I told them to just remove my name. I don't know wheather they actaully did it though. I suspect not!
